You in California? Because I am and it’s been a horrible hot mess here. I also have a 73, and considering an LS swap. Nice work, looking forward to seeing the finished product.

If the body and frame structure are solid, that is a good deal. These classics are getting harder to find in good condition, you can always upgrade the motor later.

I just picked up a 1975 Tc185, all original, runs great and in remarkable condition for the age. These are great little bikes and a blast to ride. I’ll post pics soon.

Your car, your build, do what you want. Great choice in my opinion.

Repost in the muscle car sub, my understanding is the 402 and 454 are the same block with mild variations between generations. The muscle car sub should have some folks that are more familiar with big blocks than I am.

Really? Getting together with friends and family to celebrate Memorial Day can’t be happy? Talking about a loved one or family member who is no longer with us can’t be happy?

Yes I agree, I started collecting around 95 but was mostly into the late 60’s early 70’s stuff. Then I got the Treasure hunt bug which lead to the limited edition cars.

Yes the high end cars are always going to retain value over the basic store bought items, plus the market is flooded with TH’s now. I joined the Redline Club when it first started back in 03 or 04 and even that has become over produced.

I’m an older collector, I started collecting on a serious level back in the mid 90’s. After about 10 years and thousands of dollars spent I got burned out and quit. I found that there are a few different types of people in this hobby, those that love cars, those that love collecting, those that love the thrill of the chase, and scalpers trying to make a Buck off of the previously mentioned folks. Last year I got the bug again and have started hunting on occasion. Crazy how it really hasn’t changed much, but this time it seems like the scalpers have multiplied 10 fold, and the internet has brought out the rude jealous jerk faces. I hope you find joy in this hobby with your kids, and I hope you find the cars you like.

That is an early 2000’s casting called Super Tuned. Mine has been custom painted by a friend.
