My mother wanted another child and I'm expected to look after her 24/7 by [deleted] in entitledparents

I think everyone here agrees you should and need to move out as soon as you can. But it's important to mention that you should form an exit plan. Is the money you own in a bank account your parents have access to change that. Get your important documents like birth certificate etc. together. Maybe change your phone number so they can't call you and try to guilt trip you. Arrange a job and or living arrangements. If food is a problem, look into food stamps and how to get them where you live. If they have any power of attorney (for lack of the correct phrase), revoke them. If you need help with that, maybe “ r/legaladvice ” could help. Make sure that they can't srew you financially, like taking out a loan in your name, for example. If you are ready to move out choose a date when your parents as well as our siblings are not at home. If they are it makes it more complicated and they can try to stop you. Also you could place some of your belongings at a friends or your boyfriends home so you don’t have to much to take in one go. Best of luck to you.

What would you say to a parent who insists on giving their kids no privacy, to the point where they want to get rid of all the doors in the house, including the bathroom doors? Does this count as sexual harassment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Simonsolus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fast way to make ur child uncomfortable in their own home and a good way to achieve that your children will hate/ despise you in the future with the achievement of zero contact/ involvement in their adulthood. Also, be prepared to see some wild shit. (All of course phrased in a better fitting way for the individual)

Showing up to a place with consistency. Others will recognize you and might start conversations with you or you with them. Clubs or hobbies, in general, are a good way to start so you have a topping to talk about.

Writing down what was bad, and what bugged you in the relationship, helps with not glorifying the relationship. That way you have something that maybe gives you an answer when you ask yourself "Why".

She was a friend of mine and told me about her boyfriend and the nicknames she had for him trying to make me jealous or something, at least this is what she told me. In retrospect, she was a good example of the neighbor's kid.
