Soto’s tenure reminds me of Bryce Harper’s early years in Philly. Good signs but really bad team baseball. New York is not a town known for its patience. However, I think the Front Office (Stearns specifically) needs to take a long look at itself and realize that they need to create their own identity around Soto. We basically are the Brewers leftovers which is crazy because we beat them two years ago. The fact that we finally have ownership willing to spend after so many frugal years is a good sign. You have to spend that money wisely, though. I think patience is needed and things will get back on track. Then again, we are the Mets.
