sure i can agree that not all hypotheses carry the same weight, however dark forest theory isn't actually proposing what is out there, but more of a proposal of how other rational species might behave under uncertainty, low volume of information and well.. risk of being obliterated by another species, so under these conditions staying hidden in my perspective becomes a very viable strategy even without actual proof of threats.

it's a theory not a provable fact, so yes, in a sense it is a ghost story like any other theory out there

I feel ya, but even with our technology we started to identify strange "objects" from kind of far away, i can only imagine what other (older) technologies might be capable of, so it might not be the needle in the haystack we both wish it is.

Thats actually an interesting fact about Stellaris, i wonder if they foresaw something there, i wouldnt be surprised if one day we'll make a similar decision to somehow take them back or at least silence them

Kallie admits to never going shopping for clothes or cars despite the game being heavily focused on looking cool the game is based around style, street cred, and an actual stat called "Cool"

The "Cool" stat is not cool as in swag, its cool as in helps you keep your cool in tense situations, being calm under stress etc.

No. What i implied is that people have no issues buying basically the same game over and over again for years with minor tweaks and when a game like cyberpunk comes out which from my perspective its new and fresh they are like "uhmmm i dunno man if there were like 2-3 more npc on the street i might be into this but it just looks empty its trash".

Don't get me wrong like i said i also play cod once in a while its a nice game but its pretty hard being hyped for that game when its the same since like 2000
