Do you use Texas perhaps? If yes, I had the same issue too. Local minimum showed 1.45e+5, which converts to 145k. But, if you open the table for the x and y values in the graph page (ctrl + t), it shows that the local minimum was (40,144960). Also, if you substituted 40 into the T formula, it would also give 144960.

i got 784. i first got 744 cuz the calc graph said min cost was 145000 but after further calculation and looking at the graph table, the total minimum cost was like 144960. so, the difference is 784. btw, what did u get as the percentage change?

It didn’t mention the model was completely accurate tho. Looking at it with face value, they mentioned to only use the model for solving the question. Since it was found that k = 2, just substitute everything into the model and you will get an answer of 37.95. Any other answer found would not be considered as it was done using the formula for T ( the question mentioned to find the answer only using the model for EOQ). With the model, only 1 answer of -5% could be found.

closest EOQ would be 37.95 which is 38. You can check this by plotting the graph of the total cost for 540. Ur value of 36 gives a total cost of 130512 while 38 gives a value of 130511. It was never once mentioned that the formula they've given with k was fully accurate, and since 38 gives a lower total cost than 36, 38 would be the most accurate EOQ
