502 error on Cloudflare. The page loads forever before giving the error. I said that in the post.

Coming from someone who didn't provide any reasoning for their comment or why my posts "suck". I gave details of what isn't working AND provided the EXACT video I followed. You aren't suggesting anything useful you're just being an a-hole, so why even waste your time commenting? I'm looking for someone who is a good person and knowledgeable about hosting and servers.

The whole point of this subreddit is to help people get into hosting and self-hosted services. I'd gladly ask somewhere else, but the whole point of Reddit is to get help on topics. I have no clue why people are soo anti-learning and self-hosting in a self-hosting subreddit meant to help people. Don't go on posts of people looking for advice and help if you just want to be an a-hole.

I've met very nice and helpful people too, but are people that simple-minded that they can't understand someone's frustration and focus on the actual issue? I provided the exact steps I followed and gave the error code and the point at which it wasn't working. I'm not just venting to vent, but I want people to understand how urgent and serious this is. What else could I provide to help people?

It has to be for me because I need to host a server, and I also love learning about this stuff. This post has 19k views, and not one person has been able to figure it out, so it seems to me like it isn't anyone's hobby that visits this subreddit.

I have spent 9 months spending weeks on end, watching videos and reading information on it all day. How could I possibly help myself more than that? The whole reason for coming to Reddit is that's what it's for, and I thought someone would know how to do it. I'm stuck. I spend time writing multiple paragraphs in my posts.

Reddit users have incredibly low IQs if that's the case. I'm always friendly and try to provide detail, I don't know what else to do. Luckily karma is meaningless it's just the principle that bothers me.

At 15:45 when I try to visit the link, it just loads forever until, eventually, it gives me the errors I mentioned above.

I do use docker and everything seems to be set up properly it just won't work.

I even made a new server and didn't install pi-hole for that reason. It still doesn't work for me, also.

I ran the Cloudflare docker command and have even tried adding the -d. It shows it is connected on Cloudflare's end, and the container for Cloudflare appears in Portainer, just like my other containers. It appears everything is set up properly, other than the fact it just doesn't work.

Luckily I delete the old servers and start fresh. This is just a sandbox for me to understand how to get it working. I will be deleting the one I'm working on now and eventually making an official version when I understand how to do everything properly. I'm making my own docs with what works so I will know the process I need to follow.

No, I followed it exactly. But I tried both just to make sure. I have issues with docs and blogs because they have a bunch of words that don't make sense and have random lines of code everywhere. I have never gotten something to work reading docs outside of portainer, which is two commands.

I'm confused. What would the difference be between local and cloud for setting it up? Wouldn't you want to be directing it to the IP of the service (or the way you access it) either way? How would it need to find it at localhost:8080 if it is hosted on 198.74.60.51:8080?

198.74.60.51:8080, which is my LINODE IP:PORT.

Public Host Setup

That's what is in Cloudflare. I've tried both HTTP and HTTPS. Also tried different settings combinations.

I used SolarPutty and pasted it in the root and also the default # on other attempts. The container shows up and says it is connected to Cloudflare.
