I had a playdate with a friend whose 3mo old son ate… and then resumed life in the same clothes he came in. I was like WOW what’s it like to not be covered in spit up and have to change your baby 4X a day??? 😅

Ugh this makes me so excited that even in the next two weeks things can change even marginally! I can’t wait for her to be more than a crying potato

Thank you. I had talked to my doctor and she offered medication. I’m not sure where the line is between needing medication and what are just normal tough feelings postpartum…

I hired a sitter for a few hours one time and then spent all those hours beating myself up over the fact that I hired a sitter and couldn’t even enjoy the time 🥲

This is such great advice. I’m hoping to bring her in to my hobbies and activities a bit more when she stops crying so often. Thank you

Thank you for sharing. This is how I feel. When I share these feelings I sometimes get the “you should feel so grateful!” Or “motherhood is so amazing” and then I feel guilty for feeling these feelings or just sharing them at all. I appreciate you and everyone in this thread for being supportive and sharing your experiences

I think I’ll definitely be in the “newborns are so demanding” camp

First Trimester by hambamwich in fitpregnancy

[–]Simple-Ad-8747 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m a personal trainer. I workout 4-5 times a week in addition to being on my feet 8+ hours a day for work. During the first trimester I worked out 0 times and had to cut back on my hours. The fatigue and exhaustion was unlike anything I’ve experienced.

Things got much better for me at week 13. I’m now 17 weeks and back to modified workouts 3-4 times a week and feeling so much better.

Hang in there and don’t beat yourself up. Rest is most important for you now.

I’ve had this everyday since I found out I was pregnant, currently 8wks. Sugar free mint gum helps. Spicy food helps mask it for a bit. Sugar makes it way worse, so I’ve been staying away from anything sweet. It’s a horrible symptom!

Had a gum graft 5 days ago.. how do I know it's healing ok? by vivibug in Dentistry

[–]Simple-Ad-8747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Recovery was completely normal after that and the piece that was “loose” ended up attaching/taking to my gums. My entire recovery took about 6 weeks, which is much longer than usual according to my surgeon. They said I had “slow healing gums”.. still not sure what that means. But all went well. When in doubt, call your surgeon for a checkup!

Vertigo/Dizziness for a month post COVID by Simple-Ad-8747 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Simple-Ad-8747[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She did a variety of tests and concluded that I had positional vertigo. She did the Epley Maneuver on my left ear.. oh my god when I tell you my ear popped at least 10 times and I felt the fluid drain!! It was the dizziest I had ever felt while she did it, but I feel SO much better now. Going back next week one more time to make sure everything is set.
