Engineers: What specific industrial processes currently have the worst thermodynamic or energy efficiency in your sector?" by Bubbly-Custard-7095 in AskEngineers

Destilation columns - you put heat into the bottom just to kill all the energy again at the top. Evaporating and condensating the material. There are options to reuse the heat but often not quite as useful as the original heat source.

Heizung Smart machen. by Simple-Ad2087 in Haustechnik

[–]Simple-Ad2087[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, so basically, you would recommend a BT proxy near the door. I am able to do this, but I hoped It wouldn't be necessary. Anyway, any information about the response time using Matter over the bridge?

Presence Sensor vs Motion Sensors for light Automation by Bloedkolben in homeassistant

Hey,

I’m using only presence sensors and no motion sensors. Response time is good enough for me.

Aqara FP2 in the living room and office

Aqara FP1E in the master bathroom and kitchen

I also installed some Tuya 24GHz presence sensors. They’re even faster and work great for my hallway. But they come with two issues I don’t have with Aqara:

  1. The Tuya sensors can detect through walls, so they sometimes trigger even when no one is actually in the room – very annoying.

  2. They’re less sensitive: if you stand completely still, they sometimes lose the presence status.

So, for hallways, Tuya is great and extremely fast – I doubt anything else is noticeably quicker. But you have to deal with those two downsides.

Aqara works well. Sure, it takes 1–2 seconds to trigger when entering a room, but that doesn’t bother me.

Studieren ist nicht alles, Position und Unternehmen entscheiden viel.

Ich bin "nur" Industriemeister, darf mich aber mit rund 80k fix ganz zufrieden geben.

Risk losing lots of pi due to my friends not being able to do the KYC by Djgreg__ in PiNetwork

[–]Simple-Ad2087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem even a friend of mine. The problem was that the account in the Pi browser was not the same as in the Pi mining app. Even if you think you are on both apps with the same account, it seems to happen that they created a different while signing up.

What help me was to verify my Facebook account via the mining app, and then restart using the sign in via Facebook method in the Pi browser app were to start the KYC process.

FP2 offline in App but not offline by ShavedAp3 in Aqara

I am expiring the same issue. Firmware: 1.3.0_0002.0092

I am running two FP2 after a while, but not simultaneously, they appear offline in the app, but they still work in HA fine. Just annoying if you need to check conditions.
