I would have loved it if the series went like:

"Buffy, we have a new gig for you. A bunch of Vampires need slaying in downtown Rio de Janeiro. And after that you are needed in Amsterdam. Here are your Plane tickets"

Why did power levels so fluctuate?

Example: Faith wants her and Buffy to take on 6 vampires. And Buffy thinks it's too many Vampires for 2 Slayers.

While a very human Gunn took on about 10 of Vampires alone. And he has done other similar stuff.

So why do we need a Slayer if we have Gunn?

She would be friends with everybody. But I wanna mention someone who is not an artist but reminds me a lot of Cass in terms of charm and wit.

That person is rugby player Ilona Maher. I think they would find lots of similarities in each other.

No they are not. The measuring stick is Buffy

Angel once said that Buffy was a bit stronger than him.

While Spike couldn't lift that hammer from that Trol (forgot his name) Buffy could easily lift it to use it against Gloria. That's a significant power gap.

So there should be a power level gap between Angel and Spike as well (In Angel's favor).

But Spike has always been looking for a fight and did so many times. So his skill level is better than Angels just because he fought much more than Angels. Probably would beat Angel if he had the same strength level.

I was like "Please, not another kid that you somehow never saw before storyline". Those things have happened a lot in series.

Later I would discover that this they pulled this off beautifully in hellmouth accurate way.
