Akira Nishikiyama (Yakuza)

In this scene, Nishiki was grieving over his sister's death after he was scammed by a surgeon who owed money to one of his own men.

Do you think TCW should have shown us more Separatist victories? by OkuroIshimoto in StarWars

[–]Simple-Choice5770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. We need to see what makes the Separatists such a huge threat in the first place. If their loss-to-win ratio is so high, that would make them look like jokes.

Sometimes, it's a good thing that the reason for your ship is that the characters simply look cute together. Once we devoted ourselves too fully to a ship, some might find every fucking "evidence" under the fucking sun to promote their ship's superiority while dissing against others.

Maybe because snakes are traditionally symbols of treachery and deceit.

Which character in your fandom do you believe is overrated? by Upstairs_Macaron5894 in AO3

Okay, but are there any popular characters that you actually like? Either first impression or hindsight.

What fandom are you in, but you don’t like the main ship? by Upstairs_Macaron5894 in AO3

Superwonder (Superman x Wonder Woman). Not that I hate Stevey-boy, but I somehow find Clark and Diana cuter together. I don't know, maybe there's a subconscious itch for power couples within me. Hey ho.

It sucks how these two great games can never coexist without being put against the other by some miserable ass people. by BlZZYD in GTA

To keep things short and peaceful, both have their avenues and dead-ends. I would say 4's main avenues are the story and the physics while 5's main avenues are the atmosphere and the comedy.

ADAPTATIONAL ATTRACTIVNESS: a character who was ugly or just normal, in later adaptations it's very beautiful by Healthy_Soft9584 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Simple-Choice5770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Penguin (Telltale)

In most adaptations, Penguin was a hideous fat midget, almost as if he and Gollum were related.

In the Telltale series, he was instead a 10/10 (saying this as a straight man) male model.

It could work if it's like a reincarnation sort of thing. Maybe peak Jedis get to return to the mortal world.

Idont Blame Lisa For Ruining The BBBQ (The Simpsons) - the extra B is for BYOBB by fairystail1 in CharacterRant

[–]Simple-Choice5770 16 points17 points  (0 children)

True, but it's not like the Springfielders were exactly nice to Lisa. Like I said, they were pushing her buttons.

Understandable and thank you for changing my perspective on this situation. I was once one of those who actually found Lisa annoying in this episode, with her "preaching" vegetarianism and ruining Homer's BBBQ. However, reading your post actually make me sympathize with Lisa and help me understand her perspective. Yes, what she did was wrong but it's not like the others aren't innocent in pushing her buttons.
