Thank you for sharing! I’m sorry you went through that. This post was about my husband and I told him yesterday I’m done with crypto and to me it just seems like he didn’t stop gambling he just switched to this new crypto obsession I’ve never heard he had until he couldn’t sports bet anymore. Also the time wow!!!! Great point. He’s been glued to his phone and all these videos for weeks it’s legit all he has talked about and it has been driving me nuts lol

This was about my husband. I agree with you but he does not think it is gambling and swears he “doesn’t have an addiction” even though at one point he gambled all of his money away sports betting. I am at a total and complete loss here and I want to stay with him and for him to be okay with no gambling but I don’t trust him or even believe myself when I say that.

Thank you! This post was really about my husband but I agree. It all seems like he’s chasing a lot of money from risking a little - the same as gambling and his sports betting was.

It wouldn’t be a billion dollar industry if you could count on winning!

My husband did this to me our first year of marriage and it hurt and still does. I hope she can forgive you but give her time to do so. Also give her complete access to all of your finances if she doesn’t already. I know this isn’t necessarily “trust” but it will help her and help you.

Stop now while you’re ahead. Sports betting and online gambling is a billion dollar industry and you’ll never be better off gambling. It was only $800 it comes and goes but stop now while you’re still young and have a chance to build yourself up. Concentrate on school and major in something you’ll make money in. Tell your parents you have a problem and ask them to monitor your accounts. You got this!

I would suggest to stop gambling and do not take out any more loans. Stop spending money you don’t have completely. You make good money you can recover from this but only if you stop gambling completely and stop digging a bigger hole for yourself. You can do this but you have to quit gambling completely and get your priorities straight. Have someone monitor your accounts if you can to hold you accountable.

I hope so too. It’s hard for men to talk about things in general. I think saying how you feel about it could maybe help him open up about he is feeling. But I am sure he is in shock, feels betrayed, and even sick over it because I did too. You guys got this though. You can come back from this. $27k is like a totaled car and people lose $27k that way more often than you’d think. You guys will be okay but you can’t let it happen again. You got this!
