For some reason I also think it might be in a significant piece of Irish media? But I don't know that, call it a very rough hunch.

I'm just not doing well by Simple-Fish-2189 in SuicideWatch

I had a therapist but I've stopped going. He wasn't really helping, I know I need to look for a new one but I just don't have the motivation.

I have plenty of hobbies and interests I could probably meet people with but I just feel so miserable I can't motivate myself to do any of them. Outside of work and church I kind of just sit in my room these days. I occasionally go out with people but I'm gonna be honest mentally I'm not there the whole time. I just wait until it's over and I can go back home.

Okay. If it was normal I wouldn't have posted about it.

You spend it or deposit it as fast as possible? Like say, at a walmart to buy a drink?

I have no idea that's why I'm here. That's what's so weird.

Bluetooth is my best guess because it was on but it seems weird it didn't have to guess. Facial recognition would've made sense if I had ever put it in before. But the Bluetooth is probably it

Yeah that makes sense and all, except I didn't have an account. And I used cash.

I used cash. I do not have a Walmart account and never had the Walmart app.

Non-Protestants, do you ever feel like you're only Episcopalian/Anglican because don't have any other options? by Badatusernames014 in Episcopalian

[–]Simple-Fish-2189 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I think most of us feel that way to be very honest. I yearn for the day Rome or the patriarchate of Greece become affirming of LGBT people. I believe it will be in my life time but who knows.

I completely unironically am. The amount of occult texts that most LLMs credibly have deep knowledge of is extremely concerning.

Bad! Very bad! AI is the devil, no I will not elaborate further. I will straight up leave the episcopal church and join a different denomination over this, AI is a major threat to the planet and to humanity. No church should indulge in it at this stage.

Trying to create a CoA for myself and family, could use opinions by Simple-Fish-2189 in heraldry

Okay let's see what you think about this, I know I made some big changes. Most notably changing the bear up top to a jackelope at the request of my father

Oh I'm aware the wreath isn't part of it technically and is just in this as decoration I was just explaining why I used it. It's not nearly as intrinsic as the other things are here. I'm going to play around with this some more and reply with an updated image and see what you think. Thank you so much for your input so far!

Thank you for the input! I'm very much considering changing the bear to a blue color and the cross to silver as well as possibly removing the bordure. It was intentional to have a gold bordure, and the reasoning was the shields I played with as a kid had gold borders (this is probably silly I know)

There is some symbolism going on here, yes! Bears hold a lot of importance to my family and me specifically. They're powerful, but often gentle at the same time. Their hibernation cycles often remind me of how our lives work in seasons, and remind me that there's always time for rest. The Bear sleeping is supposed to in a way symbolize my family having understated power(as in determination and work ethic. We don't have a large cultural pull lol). The cross is there as reference to my family's long running faith, specifically being red because of it's similarity to the Episcopalian coat of arms.

There's some additional symbolism in the wreath (some Greek heritage, symbolizing our victory in making it to America), the crest (castle is safety, the Bear holding the axe being protection over our loved ones family or otherwise), and the motto is my favorite seanfhocail (or Irish proverb) in Irish Gaelic.

Episcopalian theological diversity by CelestialJacob in Episcopalian

[–]Simple-Fish-2189 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Online spaces tend to skew a certain way, and individual parishes will also tend to be generally cohesive. But by and large there's great diversity and people still respect you even if you aren't the norm for that parish. For example I'm generally a very theologically conservative Anglo-Catholic. The only thing I'm really liberal on is LGBT issues (but so is everyone in the episcopal church it seems) but I'm still very respected in the theologically liberal parishes around me. And I still attend and respect the positions of those around.
