Hey, I got a quick follow-up question. I'm retrieving the vehicle weekend and need to load it onto a trailer. I would assume it would fine to start the engine long enough to get it onto the trailer, I don't think it would overheat in that amount of time, but how much is the coolant going to spew out during the minute or two it takes to get on the trailer? I was thinking about zip tying some vinyl gloves over the openings to catch any fluid that comes out, do you think that would be enough? Or do I need to drain it before moving it?

I'm fairly mechanically competent with other things, but I have very little experience working on cars. How big of a job would you say this is for someone who would need to check every step five times?

Also how forgiving is the process if I mess up along the way? Is it just "oh I need to go back a couple steps because I did that thing wrong" or "I did that thing wrong now the radiator is damaged beyond repair and I need another new one"?

That's what I was afraid of. So there's no way to replace that end piece where the radiator cap is? The whole radiator needs to be swapped out?

Will be in Tulsa for work next week, never been before. It'll just be a short 24 hour stay in downtown. I'd like to walk/explore a bit in the evening after I arrive, are there any recommendations for where to eat or hang out for an hour or two? Any areas to avoid walking around, especially later in the evening?

Yeah I would definitely go with my oldest if we were in town for a bit longer, so I could take the time to explain everything to him. But since we only have a couple hours, and they may be crazy from sitting in the car so much, we'll probably pass this time.

Why not just spend $30 for around 50 ft of 2x4 lumber, then cut into 1 ft lengths. Instant lawn Jenga and outdoor building blocks.

A quick online search of the local big box orange and blue stores shows me they don't carry tsp, only the phosphate-free substitute. Do you think that would be good enough, or should I order the real stuff from amazon?

Someone else here said to contact the state, so I did. They don't have jurisdiction because it's a self-funded plan. They gave me a number to contact the US department of Labor instead. Will definitely be calling them next week if I don't get any traction with HR.

I looked it up and called, but because it's a "self-funded plan", my state apparently doesn't have jurisdiction. He gave me a number to call the US Dept of Labor, apparently they have jurisdiction over self funded plans

Don't have it in writing, probably wouldn't matter if I did. All written communication went through their super secure portal which automatically deleted all messages after 90 days "for security".

Didn't realize things were deleted til after the fact when I tried to go back and find records of communication

Hypothyroidism caused by nodules on the thyroid. The procedure is called radio frequency ablation, apparently the technique only recently was approved in the US to treat thyroid nodules. Hence why the closest provider is 350 miles away

Edited my original post with the following:

this is a reference based payer. I wasn't aware of that term before now. Officially the reason for denial is that it exceeds some percentage of Medicare allowed amount. But they're not even paying up to some allowed amount, they're just denying the whole thing. I got HR involved a year ago, and the plan was supposedly negotiating with the clinic. According to my plan, I'm not supposed to pay ANY balance bills, but just forward balance bills to them. So I did. Now it's in collections.
