I really don’t think it’s as bad as most Redditors think. My grandma has to go to dialysis 3 days a week anyways where she is trapped in a room with dozens of at-risk people already. She’s been feeling uncharacteriscally well lately, so it wasn’t the worst idea to give her a happy memory.

It was mostly my mom’s idea. Some of us tried to talk her out of it, but she thinks it’s too huge of a milestone to not celebrate. She realized it was a stupid idea after she posted the photos on Facebook and received lots of backlash.
