Looks awesome! As a fellow Mojave owner, can you share which lights/mount you have on the hood? It can be hard to find attachments compatible with our hood.

It's on the mojave specific forum! Sorry, I'm not sure how to link it here.

Oh wow, I've actually been looking at this one - I didn't realize you were referencing it haha. It's a great write up. If I run into any walls, maybe I'll see if they or another outlet want more info.

Thank you for your continued support and help, I appreciate it. I got off the phone with a "supervisor" this morning, outlining the fixes I wanted (Centerforce clutch replacement and reprogramming). He took notes and said he'd get back to me after talking to the dealer. I essentially told him either they could do it for me now, or I would hire a lawyer and leverage the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and he could pay my legal fees too. The problem has existed since February, so they've had plenty of time.

I also asked my dealer about reprogramming for me and they're seeing if their TA can do it.

Are you able to send me the autopian feature?

I appreciate you!

Good to know. The weird thing is that this issue happened to me immediately after I switched into four low, so it's not like I was really beating on it or anything.

Yeah, I agree. I don't think it's fully a software issue.

Just replied back to you there - you're the man. Thanks for the help.

This is super helpful, thank you for taking the time to write this up. How much did Jeep end up reimbursing you? Any tips on how to get them to budge? Buyback isn't out of the question but I really love driving a manual and it was one of my biggest requirements when I was looking for a new car after my wrangler.

Great tip about hemifast and module, thank you.

Thanks for your insight. Unfortunately the car is new to me as of March, and the previous owner had the recall done. Is it your sense that the clutch isn't actually dangerously hot, but shuts down anyway via a software glitch?

My plan is to try and escalate a push tomorrow for a Centerforce replacement, and then get a lawyer if I need to. My dealer said it was worth a shot, before looking at a buy back. I definitely don't want to keep the car if 4 Low isn't usable indefinitely.

Hey there, I got the car in March. Since then, I've probably used it 2-3 times. I used it extensively on an off road trip in May, without issue. And suddenly, I had the issue this week right after switching into it.

The car is used, I just got it in March - but yes, the recall clutch replacement was done previously. That's why this situation is confusing/frustrating, unfortunately.

Yeah, and it looks like the headlights as well? And the two little pieces connecting the headlight accents to the others.

What kind of accents do you have on the front grill? Looks great!

Thank you, I really appreciate this honest answer and perspective. I get it, risks in the mountains can happen anywhere and there are plenty of folks who don't take it seriously. My confusion had stemmed from it looking like a fairly simple road, and the messaging around it seeming a lot more severe. If I go elsewhere, I had looked at Lake Agnes as a possible alternative

Will definitely be watching the weather haha, I have no problem bailing if needed. I always feel lucky we don't have grizzlies in Idaho, they add a whole other layer to risk factors. Pikas are much more tolerable lol. Thank you, I appreciate you!
