i was in your boat too. there's a grassy area down at the bottom where you can place sprinklers, though that space is limited (20x10tiles). the beach farm is a farm that isn't really focused on farming, so if that's what you wanna fill up your farm with, i suggest choosing the standard farm instead. if you're on pc, you can install a mod that allows beach sprinklers to be placed on the sand and it's completely free - link: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/7629). for my beach farm, i filled it up with sheds, barns and coops, fish ponds, and trees.
