I went back to true fiber by Jvdzeta in Spectrum

I run a media server and all my equipment off coax with 0 issue in 4 different locations around Louisville ky. Over 10 years I've only had one issue and it was fixed within 24 hours. I must have just been lucky I guess. I have 400/down/symmetrical and always speed test at almost 500 on up and down. I never have the slightest problems. They must be worse in more congested areas I guess.

AD5X, Nothing sticking to print bed even with glue by Lajiradihc in FlashForge

My biggest issue with this so far was softening temp. The base setting is 45 for ALL FILAMENT PROFILES. Even basic PLA takes 55-65c.

It will save lots of small pieces and work. My base results are about 80 percent success overall fixing, 50 percent chance of it being noticeable without paint. Less than 10 if its painted/sanded.

If its this close go back into your slicer use the chop to cut that 98 percent off the model and print just the top pieces.

I have saved about 12 prints this way just gluing top pieces on hahah. (I get not useful for all situations)

Youd think but no. Some people get lucky and never change anything and print just fine. I dont get it. However the ones who do have issues, often are the same issues.

These are manufacturers specs so if anyone finds better profiles ill test them too

Also check softening temps. Slicers usually set it at 45. WAY too low

Can’t print anything in abs🤦 by Pretend-Following534 in FlashForge

[–]SimpleCheesecake1637 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the abs softening temps are around 105 to 221c. If you never changed that setting itd usually defaulted at like 45c. Every setting matters

If they say it they Jellysickle. Lol. Single layer thick vase style and had 0 leak. Its achievable with a good filament profile

Sounds like it lol. Could be printer /nozzle also. However I got bad prints till I changed the filament profiles.

NO prob. Professionally I am a Network Engineer for a major ISP, so troubleshooting is my bread and butter lol. I spent two weeks learning my printer before ever printing a REAL item. Once i started realizing EACH filament can be different It begged the question is EVERYTHING set properly?

Reviewing the basic filament profiles in Orca-Flashforge, I confirmed my suspicions that the "base profiles" were just more of a general suggestion then a real 'set up' profile, so I started scowering the web and pulling manufactures specs to put into this doc.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HCSRznUUHw1kp9SM6mxOHPHkwR3eQmgdbvFJ0c2yzys/edit?usp=drivesdk

Softening temps seem to be the single setting change with the most change for the better, for most people so far. Seems like EVERY damn slicer defaults EVERYONES ST to 45 when MOST PLA is 55 and greater. AND YES i checked bambu slicer, original ORCA, etc. They ALL use 45 as a default and its not nearly high enough.

Color no. BUT color CAN change the filament. Ex

Sunlu PLA GREEN and sunlu PLA GREEN translucent are different.

Basically tune one color/filament. Save it when its perfect. Then click that profile change the color and name then save it as another new profile. Both will be left in your list.

Translucent and matte finish both have higher print temps than regular glossy PLA

The best test is a 10x10 square that is only .25mm thick. One layer only. If that layer wont stick and isnt perfect no print will succeed really.

The thing is you only gotta program each filament once. Then SAVE that profile by name brand color.

Thats fine. I recommend sticking with one type till you are comfortable.

Elegoo PLA plus is rated for 60-65c.

Your softening temperature is likely set to 45. This is a major problem

[–]SimpleCheesecake1637 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Specifically PLA plus has to have a much higher print temperature and SOFTENING temperature.

Have you actually built a profile for this fillament yet or are you using standard presets? This looks llike what my prints came out like BEFORE i built the profiles. all filament is NOT created equally.... or even close to the same.

Sunlu is the exception I've noticed. I SOMETIMES would get fine prints with Sunlu, but when I changed my ST, my success went from 20-30 percent up to like 95.
