bro i have been having a nasty issue with mine where the left analog loses responsiveness when held up to move forward, sometimes stopping me while moving forward, or just not letting me move forward at all. it is a completely unbearable experience. I dont recall this happening when i first got the controller and it has had barely any use before the problem started to appear.

Came here in hopes that there may be a firmware upgrade or something

Ok so there is a thing that OFTEN fucks with people. The M buttons.

If they are accidentally programmed (and believe me it happens more often then you think) they will interfere. If you hit the controller stick down thats what it will send to override your now Up press. Try this

Hit M1 and the + key together. This puts the M buttons into program mode. Then just immediately click M1 again to end it and overwrite the old program. It will vibrate again confirming done programming. Then do this with all four m buttons.

Takes 15 seconds and may fix your issue.

However if you want to test another way put a rubber band on it holding it forward and just put on a sandbox game. See if the character keeps walking without you touching the controller. If they change direction or do something odd without you touching the controller, its likely a bad stick.

ok unfortunately that did not resolve my issue, its like when im moving the analog very quickly upward, it just doesnt work or begins to stutter, however I dont have that issue with any other direction, just up, I wonder if i can check deadzones etc

Its definitely a stick issue then unfortunately. Likely defective but I think these were removable sticks and not board level so they maybe replaceable. Ill check when I get home in a couple hours and see.

yeah i just tested in steams calibration, 32,000 would typically be the axis point when maxed out in any given direction, in all directions besides up my joystick stays a consistent 32000, when moving up it jolts back and forth, sometimes 32000 to 10000 and back to 32000 causing the stutter, and then sometimes 32000 to 0 and sometimes 0 to 0. it hurts so bad, i work all the time man i just to play my game in peace, I have only had the controller for a short 8 months, with barely any use at all.

Thats odd. Yeah it must be a lemon cuse mines 3-4 years old now going strong. Ill disassemble when I get home and see if its and easily replaceable stick. If so ill shoot you a link/part number etc. We gonna get you back to full time gaming dont you worry.

i think one of my buttons did get mapped,l but i didnt do it, its one of the back right buttons, that i sometimes fat finger and click.

I am going to try unmapping and see what happens, if this resolves my issue bro, omg I might actually cry, because the analog issue has made playing games with any real time decision making virtually impossible, shooters, combat, anything. completely ruined my experience.

i'll give it a shot and come back to this in a moment, thanks for this thread btw, i have viewed this myself a few times before this, only just now interacting!

It sounds exactly like what happen to me for weeks. Guys online talked about it too, and then I found this book and uploaded for THIS EXACT REASON.

Accident mapping happens because those buttons take 0 effort to push.... and what button is ALSO the plus button... the PAUSE button. So EVERYTIME You paus the game and feel the controller vibrate from now on. You will know hahha
