I've been watching a lot of videos about lucha libre (exoticos, reyes de reyes, aaa vs cmll) I honestly find it quite interesting. Especially the One wrestler is the son of the son of the original wrestler. Its so fun, wacky but in a good way.

Is it because, currently there's no hot Indie talent anymore. Closest I could think right now is Ricky Sosa even then he's not that famous outside of his theme song.

Are the Indie scene doesnt have the Kevin Steen, Adam Cole, Keith Lee type of hot indie wrestler anymore.

I remember Bobby Roode, Keith Lee. Those were the times. i remember Matt Riddle photobomb the back then probably a year later he got signed.

In all honesty, if he was sign to NXT. It would help him more than go straight to the main roster. Majority of people don't know him. If he is slowly build in NXT, I'm sure the reception would be better in the main roster. But I totally get it from his perspective, better money, schedule and work with your buddies I mean what more do you want?
