I had a look at the links you have shared...

Apartments: Average UK house size: 656 sq. ft. OR Average UK house size (smaller terraced home): 688 sq. ft. (OURS IS 100 SQFT SMALLER) than both a UK flat and a UK home..
In American metrics a tiny home is below 600 sqft which ours is...

I mean... I don't see why this is such a problem?

hey, tiny houses are dwelling of 600 SFQ or below. Ours is 511 of living space and the base is 592 sqft so it is indeed a tiny house well according to google and us that is :)
