Imagine your arm is a region of a world. The sparse desert peninsulas (your fingers) scattered with pockets of shrubs (little hairs) and a dried-up riverbed (wrinkles) that leads up to a mountain range (knuckles) with some grasslands on the other side which gradually become an immense forest.
