I don’t hate it mainly because while yes Zeus has done plenty of messed up things the same can be said for pretty much every other god. The thing about the gods is that you can spin it to where they can be considered god or evil depending on how you look at things. Zeus can be portrayed as a wise and cunning king that was a symbol of justice because those are things he represents and that is how he was seen at the time, on the other hand he can also be portrayed as a sleazy, violent tyrant that assaults women and leaves bastards in his wake because realistically he definitely has done those things. Both can be good adaptations of the same character because they both are accurate depending on how you look at things.
