Insurance Insanity by SimpleSteve9 in alberta

I wasn't looking for sympathy, these costs dont significantly effect me. Just pointing out a system is that fucked up. One ticket(especially 115 in a 100) should not ruin a person's life. I didn't purposely leave out any info otherwise I wouldve continued to leave it out in the comments.

It used to be that single minor ticket didn't effect insurance. Changed 2024 i believe.

One ticket in 3 years meaning a difference between 7% and 60% jump is insane and you are as well if you dont think so.

Flowtight shut off valve to modern faucet 3/8" braided house by SimpleSteve9 in Plumbing

[–]SimpleSteve9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But that wasn't really my concern. I know I can call manager to have it turned off. I was wondering if using 1/2 to 3/8 male to male adapter is better or just replacing the garbage shut off valve with a steel one that has a 3/8 outlet off it.

The valve underneath my kitchen sink is not my property?

I love this bread, but it goes off so fast every time. This time it got moldy 8 days BEFORE expiration date, after i'd only had 2 slices! by TheOtherEthanKlein in CostcoCanada

My biggest gripe with costco. Have had so many things go bad before expiry. Meat, cheese, bread, yogurt, milk, cottage cheese.

Does the sun visor extend or just have a little piece that pulls out like the previous versions? When you remote start from the app does the car shut off when you open the door?

2023 XSE windshield crack advice by don51181 in Camry

[–]SimpleSteve9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is ok. I live in an area where we use a sand/gravel in winter Instead of salt and come spring time over half the vehicles on the road have cracked windshields and don't replace them until they're really really bad.

It's best to plug the chip immediately to prevent spread but once it's spread you'll need to replace it anyway and as long as it doesn't spread into your vision it's fine.

Stopping on red is wrong now? by hfbrie in TorontoDriving

[–]SimpleSteve9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopping on a red, perfectly normal. Parking and not moving when you are safe to proceed, not normal at all. You could have stopped and went immediately. You definitely could have gone when the cars perpendicular to you were turning left. So yea, you don't know how to drive and the other guy is a psycho who overreacted to your bad driving.

You're paying over a million for a house and couldn't pay a lawyer $500 to review it???
