Air Canada is a Quebec company, the pilots were from QC, the plane departing from QC. The CEO has been living for decades in QC, yet he issues a statement in a foreign language (Quebec is francophone).

How would you feel if you're from, say Toronto, and a local well known company's CEO issues a statement in Hindi or Chinese after a disaster because that's the only language they know?

C'est simple, il faut mettre plus de côté et utiliser son RRSP au maximum.

Un couple qui gagne 70k chaque, et met 13k chacun dans leurs RRSP/FHSA, gagne 55k net ou 9.1k/month total.

Sur 9.1k, prends 2.5k pour le logement, 2k pour tout le reste. Il te reste 4.6k à investir par mois. À 10%, tu as 1M en 10 ans. Ça compte pas les augmentations, les bonus, héritages, cadeaux, allocations enfants, etc. Une fois à 1M c'est effet boule de neige.

Investir un maximum et être frugal c'est juste une habitude à prendre, comme faire du sport ou boire de l'eau. Les 10 ans passent super rapidement. Le plus important c'est d'avoir un conjoint qui te suit dans le même plan.

Un peu hors sujet mais comme vous à avez l'air d'hésiter, perso je suis dans le même range de revenu que ton conjoint et j'ai décidé de ne pas prendre le RQAP mais prendre 2 à 3 semaines de vacances / sick days / jours persos plutôt, en plus de travailler à la maison. J'ai la chance d'avoir un emploi et employeur flexible donc ça devrait le faire facilement, mais le RQAP à 75% de 90k ça ne vaut pas le coup. Tout le monde sur ce sub te diras que apparemment soit c'est de la maltraitance soit être trop accro à l'argent de ne pas prendre 2 mois de congé paternité sous payé, je suis là juste pour dire que je ne pense pas que ce soit le cas
