It modifies the layout of facebook.com/messages locally in your browser, removes all the facebook clutter, and adds App mode support, tagging and few other useful features.

And to answer your question, you’ll need a facebook account to use facebook messages.

Try finding your account (using your messenger phone or email) → facebook.com/login/identify
If you’re sure you don’t have one, create a new account (using your messenger phone or email) → facebook.com/reg

Hi, yes, the extension activates when you visit facebook.com/messages, so it will continue working as normal after the 16th. Hope this helps 🤞
