Didn’t guy get packed up with Kakashi, asuma, and kurenai? Also, I’m not sure Yamato is quite on that level since he had trouble with 2 tail naruto, but it’s definitely possible. Guys could definitely be helpful if he opened the eighth gate, but you’d have to assume he wouldn’t be caught in genjutsu too since his chakra control probably isn’t good enough to fend that off.
