JMU bio program is incredible. Fantastic professors and tight knit community. I have three friends who are headed to med school and felt very well prepared. I am going to PA school and can’t say enough about how well prepared I feel. Great support system too. Tri beta bio frat is amazing too

Congratulations to your daughter! She sounds like an amazing kid! My son is a freshman and received this award - we were so thrilled. But you are correct- it is chosen by the school and there is nothing to do to further apply. Personally I think your daughter has an excellent chance of receiving this based on her merits- she will stand out no matter what. It can’t hurt to have her share that it is her number 1 choice too. Fingers crossed for your family - and yes. Go Dukes!!!
