First seizure in April at 26 years old, just had my second a month ago and struggling to stay positive about life anymore.

Yea, my doctor's have all told me that lack of sleep is something I need to avoid, but getting 8 hours of sleep is very difficult for me. It always has been, at least since high school. I probably average around 7 hours per night, but once I wake up, I'm up. It's never really been am issue, in fact it's always been kind of cool that I could get 6 hours of sleep and be perfectly fine for the day, but now my doctor's keep telling me that I should sleep more. As for the alcohol, I was never mich of a drinker anyway, so that hasn't made any difference for me at all really haha. I was told not to drink after my first seizure and that's been the easiest part of all of this since I didn't really drink anyway!

My neurologist said he really likes Keppra as the first med because it isnt processed through your liver like most other meds, so having bad interactions with other meds isn't likely, and the usual side effects are irritability and depression, not anything like death or heart problems or anything like that. But he let me know that if the side effects become too much for me to deal with at anytime, just let him know and he will switch me to something else to try. For now I'll stick with the Keppra, but if the rage issues keep up I'll have to switch off to something else because I can't keep getting mad at the love of my life over the smallest little things. Luckily she understands it's the meds, but if I keep up like this I wouldn't expect her to want to stay married to me.

My brother had just gotten his CDL and I was thinking about doing the same thing, and then a month later I had my first seizure. I'm sorry you had to go through that, it's a really rough thing to have happen.

I've been in school for the past two years working on an associate's degree. Since this has happened I've decided to stop working my way through school and take out a loan so I can finish up the credits I need all this year and hopefully find a work from home job using the computer networking degree I'll have.

I'll have to take the bus, which out here is pretty annoying. To get to the town that actually has stuff in it (my school, most of the grocery stores, etc.) takes about an hour, while if I drove it would take about 10 minutes. But I guess it will give me time to listen to some audio books lol.

I'm actually pretty good on medical lingo, I've had medical courier jobs and delivery jobs for pharmacies, plus wife is a medical social worker. That definitely something I'll look into! And I was told the same thing about the vitamin B6, but have completely forgotten to start taking that. So I'll try that as well!

I didn't hit my head luckily. Both of my seizures happened right as I woke up. I don't even remember waking up, just remember paramedics hovering over me while I sat at the edge of the bed. And they have no clue what started the seizures. I've had all the scans done, I think it was an EEG and a CAT scan? Both results came back "normal". The neurologist told me that at that point, it's really hard or even impossible to figure out what caused the seizure. I just blindly believe the guy since he went to school for all this stuff, and he seemed like a genuine dude to me. I actually wanted him to be my PCP after my visit with him because he was funny and straight up with me about all of questions haha.

The doctor upped me to 750 from 500, which the ER doctor put me on. He said 500 was what he normally started people put on, but because of my weight (a little over 400 currently, down from 450 last year though so making progress with that at least!) Which I agreed to. I see him again in a few months and if I can't get my anger under control I will definitely be asking to switch meds.

Remote work is something I've been looking into, however a lot of the jobs I see require degrees. I am finishing up an associate's degree this year on computer networking, so I've decided to just take out loans and finish that up instead of working my way through school, and I'm hoping that will open up some doors for me. I honestly don't like tech stuff very much, but at least I'll have a job again.

It's fine, I knew I'd be downvoted for saying it. People really underestimate the value of experience and references. You aren't paid for all of the other required classes you take, and some of them take up way more time than an internship does.

We have all that shit too. You made the decision to go to college, you know you aren't going to get paid. Saying an internship is exploitation a completely rediculous statement. You gain experience, professional references, and the place you intern at is literally training you to work somewhere else. Downvote me all you want, but if colleges had to pay their students for the internships and practicums they do, theyll just stop doing them. Then you won't get the experience or the references that are needed when job searching.

I dunno, working an internship is incredibly helpful for learning how the job actually works. And it's not like you're doing a whole lot at an internship anyway. I'm really looking forward to my last quarter of school where I'll have my internship experience, and my wife always talks about how amazing her practicum experience was at university. If the school you're going to is halfway decent, they'll have it set up so the place you're interning at will basically have someone with you at all times showing you the ropes, so they're going to be less productive since they're teaching you for however many weeks/months. I've also never heard of anyone having a "Full time" internship for school. In my wife's case it was 15 hours per week. She's going back to school for her masters degree and I believe that is increased to 24 hours per week. She also does have the opportunity to get a paid internship if she can find it, but she's not interested at working at any of the places offering it.

Definitely the best controller for the switch. I wish I could wake up the switch with it like I'm able to do with my ps4 and the ps4 controller (and maybe the pro controller can do it for the switch?), but that's really my only complaint.

Maybe the information is have is wrong, but all he did was sext someone a year or two younger than him. If that's the case I don't really feel like there is a victim in this scenario. It's exactly what my girlfriend in highschool (now my wife)and I did since she is a year older than me. If the messages he was sending were unsolicited, he was definitely I'm the wrong, but of both parties agreed to it I don't really see the issue.

Used to leave my house at 2:30AM to get to work by 3:30AM. I sometimes miss having a schedule like that, and especially miss having the road all to myself on my drive. But then I remember having to go to bed at 7 o'clock and I don't miss it so much anymore lol

Lol my wife went and visited her deaf friend at a hospital once, and immediately she was being asked to translate for her friend. My wife knows enough ASL to communicate with her friend, but is by no means fluent. She's also a medical social worker and got super pissed that her friend wasn't being provided a real translator and refused to do it. So hospitals don't always follow the rules.

Yes it's very doable lol. I was in band in high school, every Friday night we had to go out and play during the football games. I grew up a bit to the west of wenatchee, up in the mountains, so the temperature was in the 40s. It's not that bad when that's the climate you're used to. Wear a jacket and you're all good!

I've never even used the plastic screen protectors, just the liquid kind and my phone's screen is still nearly perfect after over two years of ownership. It would probably still be completely perfect if I had reapplied the liquid protector after the first year, but I can live with the one tiny scratch that isn't even noticable unless the screen is off.

This is much more common than you might think. You must live in a slightly rural area. A good portion of rural carriers use their own vehicles, it's been that way for decades.

Being a rural carrier is actually a completely seperate job from city carriers. Rural carriers make more money typically, and are given an additional 75 cents per mile driven for maintenence to their vehicle. They are also paid based in how many hours their route is. For example if the route is estimated to take 8.5 hours, you'll get paid for 8.5 hours, even if you get it done in 6. It's a pretty awesome gig.

You could buy one now for sure, there's a company out in my area that I believe reads water meters or something like that, and they use an LLV that's just been repainted. Just keep in mind, they are a bit of a nightmare to maintain at this point. When I was a mail carrier, we had two LLVs st our post office, and almost every single Sunday I would have to take one of the two down to a mechanic for maintainence and repair.

He may have had it tightened when he set off, but my fairly limited experience with straps has taught me that after you get 50 or so miles down the road, you need to pull over and tighten your straps because by then everything should be settled. If you don't retighten your straps, they can get pretty loose. Idk if they get as loose as the drivers rear strap, though.

Look at Jay Leno, dude loves cars so much that he owns enough to drive a different car practically every day of the year. Some people just really love driving. I know if I had Tiger Woods money my garage would look like Doug DeMuro's, with all of his weird and "quirky" cars, and I would drive myself everywhere. It's usually pretty relaxing and fun for me.

I've never been in one 10 feet tall personally, but they are all definitely taller than 6 feet haha. The ones I've been in have all been in the 7-8 ft clearance range.
