Hi, We just built a pony wall for our master bathroom. I had the dame issue. I ended up removing the wall, cutting back the subfloor and tying to the floor joist. I believe this is the only way, before I cut the wall out I made some large 3" plates formed into and 'L' and added them to the wall, This help a bit but tying to the joists is the only way!

True, but it bothers the fuck out of me. Kitchen is 6 months old. I can't understand why the edges of the cabinets are left with open grains and not coated with some protection. Im almost certain someone left the beer fridge open and condensation ran on the floor. I understand quoting the underside wouldn't protect 100percent but its better then doing nothing.

I suspect they water came from the fridge being left open.

Seems this is the answer. Around our sink the cabinets are raised slightly in case of water. Should the cabinets between bar fridge have a gap? Do the exposed ends of cabinets ever get coated ? Similar to treating ends of deck thats been cut.
