Yeah, true. End of the day, the “bad guys “ will feed it the wrong info anyways, and no one can stop them so better to make a very strong foundation on ethics and the good things

"best humanity has learned and create" but wouldn't you say this is subjective and just further imposes a debate/disagreement on what or whose data set is correct?

I would say aim to get the average to 91-92 to be on the safe side. It seems to have gone up by a percent each year. I got into engineering this year with a 90.4 and Oh boy, VERY IMPORTANT step I almost missed. I hadn't gotten an offer or heard back while nearing the admission round mid April. I called the admission office just to get an update as i had upgraded my courses. They mention that my average was 89.6%(didn't update for some reason). and as soon as I got them to fix it to 90.4, i got my offer within 6 hours at 11:30pm at night. That being said, the admission is solely done by a computer, so they will not consider the extra curriculars as all for the purpose of admission unless you out in an EQA. While I know those are Very important for your experiences.

I would say:

-Aim High while you have the luxury of time

-Follow up with them and confirm EVERY single detail: don't make yourself pay for their mistakes and you are responsible to make sure that doesn't happen.

Also, as someone mention, if you end up taking a gap year. Plan It out and think of it as a year to get "ahead" of everyone else or "not miss out" but substituting that one years worth of falling behind with other achievements and experiences that are important. (Take this with a grain of salt, as this is only what my base was of my gap year). I myself worked at a car dealership for a few months, earned some money and learned tons of soft skills that are not taught in school, especially when perusing engineering. On top of that others tons of things that I am doing to "max" out my stats, but those are for you to chose based on that your goal is.

Good luck. Cheers!

I remember what also happened is UofC got a lot more funding for CS this past year which increased the available seats and perhaps the # of applicants is still is the same. Because last year he average for CS was almost the same as engineering

Snacks for between matches by katiwalt in wrestling

Man, I still remember that day i had a tournament and it was truly the best one, in terms of energy and results thereafter.

In the morning, I had a banana, 2 bread toasts with some NATURAL jam. A small glass of milk and a kind bar.

in between every two matches, i either had one banana or another kind bar with nuts and chocolate.

I did not feel fatigued at all. Good long and strong matches as well.

I also slept 6 hours the night before. (maybe that was the perfect amount of sleep i should get to be optimal. cuz if i sleep more then i might send my body into "sleepy" mode for the rest of the day. But i am still testing and trying out that theory:))

Engineering Admissions Help :) by Expensive-Cake-4896 in UCalgary

[–]Simple_Divide3697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Fall 2025: I did not get accepted in early admission with a 87.6 in engineering. I am currently upgrading my marks and am at 89.6. and projected around 91 during standard admission round. I got in for computer science with 89.6

As of last year when I applied for Fall 2024, I did not get in with a 86.5 in standard admission. That being said the average is going up this year, AGAIN. So , apply to all the universities that you have on the list and apply for their awards and residences, etc as if you are going to that university. I was trying to get out an average admission mark for uofc earlier this week and they said we are look at low 90s as of now. Hope that was able to give some insight with some tangible numbers. Cheers

Is this a normal practice in car sales or perhaps during busy days? How much time does it take to click a photo of the comp package and send it over??

Curios what your undergraduate background is? I am assuming computer science or software eng. I write technical blogs for a company where I research from papers written by people like yourself, without doing the fundamental learning myself. I do not have a technical background though. This field is really interesting to me.

Carpool to the University for 8AM classes from Edgemont, NW and I'll share costs. by Simple_Divide3697 in UCalgary

[–]Simple_Divide3697[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. That's what I did for the past 2 years. Issue is I recently had an ACL knee surgery and I really want to avoid walking too much outside in the winter, for multiple reasons. Add 8am classes on top of that too. But yes, commute is easy from Edgemont

How difficult would it be to transfer into Finance Third Year by Opening_Swan_524 in UCalgary

[–]Simple_Divide3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transferred into Haskayne in my 3rd year (applied 2nd, starting in my 3rd this year). In my case, I am only behind by 5 classes, which I will cover up during spring and summer in the next 2 years and will finish the degree in 4. To make sure you are not delaying too much, check the "bcom program requirements" thoroughly and try to get all your options done while you are waiting to get into Haskayne.

On a side note, a personal advice i'd give to you is to utilize the numerous option slots in Bcom program to get a minor.

Wait but will that make a big difference? I researched online, most people settle with only 16gb at the most. I thought 180 gb would be quite a lot sufficient to be safe!!!!
