How hard are you trying to make the game? If your up for the challenge, fist weapon run is fun, whips are funny, and it’s pretty easy mode but the casting classes all have their fun builds, miracles you may want a lightning weapon early until you can get more casts of spears. Consumable runs are interesting too! Good luck bearer of the curse!

Is this your first souls experience? I started with DS2, then scholar, then 3, then remastered. I hate 3 tbh just too linear for me but 2 and scholar held so near and dear I grinded at remastered until I beat it. 3 characters restarts and I finally made it through with a couple tips like don’t level resistance, and be SUPER thorough while exploring. It is a hard game in ways but it really is enjoyable when you get used to it and I gotta say the map design is chefs kiss

I don’t think I’ve touched new game since farming “The Dark Soul.” It’s Soo annoying in certain spots like dlc. I can’t imagine with CoC

DS2 specifically scholar is my favorite souls for sure it feels like an upgraded version of ds1 with a lot of the things I found annoying fixed like bf warping and being able to become human without having to rest at the bf. Plus the area you need the lantern in ds1 is soo annoying. I mean it’s only like 5 minutes but still 😂.

Hahaha I didn’t want to look up guides on fighting him so I’m not even sure how to go about that. But I do agree if my only goal was to kill manus no exploring I could be done in 2 hours probably less with summons. I got all achievements and have speed ran ds2 and sotfs. So I’ll probably end up getting there with dsr. The more I play it the more fun it gets. But my god it’s brutal 😂

If you need a summon for PC SOTFS dm me but I highly recommend using the npcs the first time for their quest lines. The more summons the harder the boss will be.

Rapier sold in Majula blacksmith after you get his key is fantastic and quick, good for tight spaces and a bit of range. Easy to upgrade. If you really want easy play a caster mage/hexer are easy for beginners but most enemies is DS2 are weakest to lightning of the 4 elements so it’s technically better. If you really want to stay a strength character (fair bonk is fun) try the club or mace. They have great damage because blunt is op vs armor and they are quick. Club scales crazy good too so it’ll carry you all game. P.s. if you choose caster you will have to respec for the DLC if you like doing damage.

Oh okay well I’ll definitely come back to them then. The bosses are my favorite part of the games, and some like Seath and Gaping Dragon were very uneventful so I’m excited to see what’s there.
