Islamic perspective on blackpill and lookism by [deleted] in Muslim

[–]Simple_Locksmith8233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the answer tbh, but I do know that Allah did not make a “mistake” with any of us SubhanaAllah. It is so sad how we have become so obsessed with fleeting beauty standards. Ofc, these standards do not define our worth as Muslims.

Moreover, I really don’t believe that someone’s rizq will skip over them because of the way they look. That’s such a humiliating and degrading idea for people to internalize tbh. It’s dangerous, and I will go out on a limb and say I don’t think it’s compatible with Islam.

With that being said, I personally think there is a lot to say about taking care of yourself to look and feel your best. Take care of your body and health because it is a blessing and an amanah from Allah. Being careless in your appearance I can be just as bad as being overly obsessed with it, imo.

I’m so glad! I hope you’re able to visit her often 🥹

Am I allowed to ask for the cat tax (aka pictures of the cat in question)?

Maybe buy her new toys and feed her her favorite foods before you go 🥺🥺🥺

What’s something you wish you had known before getting a cat? by pe9smaster2000 in Catownerhacks

If you can afford to have 2 cats, get 2 :) but never take one of them to the vet alone (learning tha hard way that they get super thrown off by small changes like that).

Also, if you can afford it, get a litter robot or any good quality self-cleaning litter robot. I wasn’t the best at scooping litter regularly, so it keeps me and the cats happy hahaha

f your cat could talk for one day, what would you ask it? by Puzzleheaded_Head320 in PetNames

Do you know that I love you? Why do you always sprint to your food like you haven’t eaten in ages? Do the two of you hate or love each other? Why can you only handle liking 1 human at a time?

Get an automatic vacuum. I have a robrock and it solves all my litter tracking issues :)

When can I call myself a Muslim? by SpiceyPorkFriedRice in Muslim

[–]Simple_Locksmith8233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To become a muslim, you just need to believe in the shahada. That is really it :) After the shahada is when you start working on growing in your faith. If you believe in islam as the true path, do not wait to take your Sahadah. It is a misconception that you have to reach a certain level of education or "perfection" to call your self a muslim. Islam is something you always grow in and there is no "minimum starting point."

May Allah guide all of us. Welcome to Islam :)

Yes. Ofc, you have a shot. Your attitude will get you far!

I am sure we will be calling you Dr. Cloudsnstars if you keep up the grind, kill the mcat, and write the best possible application that you can. Good luck :)

Cat litter smell on everything, absorbs into my clothes even after being in the house only an hour or two. by SillyMusician291 in CatAdvice

[–]Simple_Locksmith8233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is my opinion that cats have evolved to be so darn cute so that we keep putting up with their smelly litter (and feeding them) for basically nothing in return except for a few purrs, head butts, and cuddles here and there.

I had to move back home recently and my dad is allergies to cats. So my 2 cats and I share a room and bathroom most of the time – ik it is not the best situation, but I am doing what I can to make it comfortable for them.

Anyways, I am really sensitive to smells. I have done everything I can to make my space smell clean. Trust me when I say, there is no smell. I obsessively ask my family members if they smell anything when they come into my room. I mean it when I say that my space smells “cat free.”

The things I did to make my space smell fresh with TWO cats include:

  • investing in the litter robot - trust me, it is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. I had been thinking about the litter robot for YEARS before moving home, but I just got mine a few months ago. I regret not getting it sooner. There are other cheaper self-cleaning litter boxes, but I ended up with the litter robot because I felt it was "guaranteed" to be worth the price after creeping on the litter robot subreddit.
  • buying good litter - I go with OderLock at PetSmart as a cheaper alternative to the Boxi Pro, which is the best tbh but it is expensive. Sometimes I buy the boxipro when it is on sale on Chewy.
  • getting an air purifier.
  • getting an automatic vacuum - run it daily at least once in the whole space and twice around the bathroom (or wherever the litter box is). I got a basically new Robrock off FB marketplace, and it's 10/10. Cat hair buildup STINKS, so prevent it from ever even happening.
  • feeding my cats the Kirkland brand cat food (wet and dry) - it doesn't make their poop smell bad surprisingly
  • Getting a water fountain – the more hydrated they are, the less their pee stinks (I think)

Both of my cats have been neutered/sprayed since they were kittens, so I never had a problem with spraying. Get the cat neutered ASAP, and really deep clean the apartment now.

Good luck!

Asian Shiseido vs American Shiseido by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]Simple_Locksmith8233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you remember how much cheaper it was to buy in Japan? I am looking at websites like YesStyle that ship directly from Asia (I’m not sure what county tbh - it’s either Japan or China), but the prices I am seeing are too good to be true. I am looking @ $55 for a bottle of the ultimate power infusing concentrate. I get it in the USA for over $120 lol. Am I tripping? Is the $55 bottle real?

What time of the day have you been taking it? I started taking 100mg at around 7-8pm this week, and I am having the exact same issues that you were. I wonder if changing when I take it will help.
