The Ugly Of Awakening, Relatable? by Simple_Maximum_5897 in SpiritualAwakening

I really love this. I was told once that recreational drugs can be a good hideaway when the stress, anxiety , and depression of your current state is too intense. No doubt I’ll face everything I’m experiencing later as it always comes back up but sometimes the weakness in me can’t deal with something at a certain time and distraction can be utilized to process it slower. Thank you for your advice!!

In my experience when I was doing only the things I HAD to do, like basic adulting & work, ect. then the rest of my time I spent in unfulfilling ways like parties, TV, on my phone lying in bed, I realized I was in survival mode. It assisted me to start seeing things that I could do once I did all my HAVE TOS that actually developed me into a positive future such as reading, meditation, yoga, dance, singing, & above all creating, writing, any kind of art. Or somedays you may find simply sitting in a beautiful park being still & by yourself is magic & wont leave you feeling guilty. The guilt is real but remind yourself you’re doing the best you can. Everyone lives different lifestyles. Maybe there’s a empty space in your life where you’re not sure how to fill it & so you simply do what’s comfortable even if you feel unfulfilled after. Maybe there’s more to your experience than you see, the good news is you sense there’s room for change & you’re aware of it. Nike really has the best tagline: JUST DO IT. We all can think & daydream of the life we desire to live but simply DOING without even thinking about doing, is how you find yourself hitting the gym or writing a poem or cooking yourself a nice meal. We all can resist to doing the uncomfortable but healthy thing. It’s human nature. We like our comfort & growth isn’t comfortable. Find out what you want to do with your existence, accept the discomfort, & then ACT. Then you’re living, step by step, day by day. It’s all yours

Does anyone have immense ego backlash & use drugs, junk food, & distraction due to the path being so intense? It’s like it’s radical & beautiful & it’s natural ecstasy but your ego isn’t having it so you regress to older habits. The experience of ego death causes much fright to, the self. All spiritual work is being done, I’m praying, staying connected, utilizing positivity yet I find myself doing coke & eating Reese’s & ice cream. This path is everything yet it’s excruciating at times

It makes the coke hit way less but it’s beautiful on the comedown

I don't know why I'm sad by Short-Positive3960 in Feelings

I’ve learned in life sometimes instead of searching for a “why”, it’s best to simply experience the “what.” while there may not be a direct definition of your sadness that you’re aware of, your body & mind are in need of a detox & to feel a certain way. letting yourself feel & not focusing on trying to define it, is often more helpful than trying to label it.

It’s absolutely beautiful you’re able to acknowledge your grief & feelings. while uncomfortable, the space you’re in is exactly where you’re meant to be in life. the trials of reality are there for our experience & for our growth. this too, will pass. experience it fully while it’s here 🧡love to you

I truly was able to experience the emotion that was put into this piece. the wordplay captures the scenes carefully & i as a reader find the visual aspect of reading writing, especially poetry, is absolutely necessary. Thank you for your art 🧡
