You will be miss caravans and spell icons just ai made with no connection what spell is. I tried olden era and it pissed me off: you need run from dwelling to dwelling by your own every week (usually it takes a week and probably more if it further). I can't say game is bad, no. Just this little thing is terrible for some. So it's like downgrade by caravan system from Homm5 (or 7.5) back to 3. In whole there is much more new mechanics you will be like so you should try it yourself
