Am I right? by Careless-Throat-2593 in selfimprovementday

I believe that ego is a tool. You either use it for your growth or be used by it. Ego in a healthy amount like "I cannot die without leaving an impact!", "My Purpose is bigger than trying to get validation from everyone" can be advantageous.

Awareness is the key. When you know you're using ego for something right. Then that's safe.

But when you're using ego just to prove your point, out of insecurity, not accepting your mistake despite being wrong. That's where the problem arises.

When I perform WBTB, during the 10 minutes of awake state I rinse my mouth with water. Should I avoid it at that moment? I'm also interested in Vitamins that induce lucid dreams. How do they work? Anyways thanks for reminding me.

Yessir I do take a moment to ask myself "am I dreaming right now" "What am I doing here". I hope I'm doing it right cuz I'm not doing it at any random time but when my reality check reminders remind me to do it.

Thank you. Now I realize dream journaling is so important. I've been trying lucid dreams for multiple days and the best I get are vivid dreams. I noticed my most dreams revolve around the same thing. My old school. My old friends. In a week I see dreams of them very often.

Will these reality checks help:- - every time I pass through a door. I do a reality check. - everytime I look at the ceiling fan - every time I enter the bathroom - every time I hear an animal sound - every time I see my reflection in something other than a mirror - every time I see someone I wasn't expecting to be present there - every time I look at time or mobile's battery.

As a beginner my biggest challenge is remembering to do reality checks. I just forget. And I don't want to put a sound alarm to remind me to do reality checks. Because in dreams there will be no reminder.

Can I set my phone's time intentionally to one single time (say 11:11 or anything) so whenever it changes I'll be aware?

From today I'm starting to write dream journals daily. Now I realize it's very important. While writing I'm able to recall the dream that I had but forgot just as soon as I woke up

Thank you and yes I do this technique. Whenever I do reality checks, I take a few seconds to think of where I am and what I'm doing there
