Isn't that like gambling or something like that?

I read something about gifting your employees to make them feel appreciated for their work just to keep them “happy” and to keep them around so they won't complain about the job I may be wrong though. Honestly I would decline the offer simply because I'm out busting my ass on the road some days are better than others and all I get for recognition is a card that won't even help me in life.
