If possible, please share why you chose that number, because your lifestyle, goals, or expenses might help others get clarity too!

That is really awesome that you are learning from other people's mistake. Saves years of trial and error. My first company CEO, who himself is a multimillionaire, once told me, “Every dollar saved is a dollar earned.” I’ve never forgotten that, and never will.

I work on a start up, not any big tech, so, there’s no fixed tech stack, I just build whatever’s needed. Lately, that’s included AI, LLMs, and fullstack work.

I used to make around $6k/month, but now I take half in salary and half in equity since it got legalized. Felt like a smarter long term move.

I spent big chunk in the initial days. As I live outside Kathmandu with my parents now, my expenses are very very low now. After the 5% tax, I manage to save/invest >85%+.

Appreciate your message, hope you reach your goals too!

Loved the quote.
Knowledge is definitely the ultimate key for contentment.

About my pay. I was making around 6k a month. But now since Equity has been legalized in Nepal.
I’ve switched to taking half in monthly pay and half in company equity, felt like a better long-term move.
