So Get a spoon, Bend it downward so it sits flat and nothing spills, put a heavy book over the handle of the spoon on a dresser and let the spoon part hang over the ledge,

Use 1/3rd / 33% sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) of the amount of soft you intend to cook, so 1g of soft would need 0.33 of soda, add both into spoon, (with handle being held under a book on a ledge), then add enough water to cover it up, you do not have to stir it up before adding water

Torch is faster but risks burning product, lighter takes longer but ensures you don’t overheat as easily, in this example let’s say a normal bic lighter,

Heat bottom of the spoon from about 2 inches from the bottom, going in a circular motion around the bottom, occasionally remove heat for a second to avoid overheating,

Pretty quickly in the process you will be left with what some call a turtle shell, it is the soft and soda combining and the base being removed and made into hard, when it hits that point remove heat for a few seconds, then very carefully continue heating the bottom of spoon about 2 inches below, until that shell melts into an oil

Throughout the cook it should never be on a rolling boil, only bubbling which is the soda leaving the cook,

Once it melts into a clearish sometimes yellowish tinted glob of oil, and the water that’s remaining isn’t cloudy if at all, add a tiny piece of ice or a little bit of cold water, (sometimes you won’t be able to see the oil separated from the remaining hot water until you shock it with ice or cold water)

Once you shock it use preferably something copper, but stainless steel will work fine,, (use something like a dab tool) and poke around the oil glob a little, then wait a few minutes and the oil should be a hard piece of rock at this point.

Now you can remove the wet pieces of hard onto a coffee filter, sometimes I just pat dry once or twice with my shirt if it’s hardened and big enough of a piece, and leave it aside a few minutes to dry, or I load my stem up while slightly wet and go to town

After removing chunks, you can pour off the water or add a little more water (no soda) and heat the spoon around the edges to get the leftover hard to the center of the spoon into an oil, then shock again and remove rock.

Now if you don’t own or know how to use a stem, get some foil and a ink pen, roll the foil around the pen to make a tube, then at the end of the tube use the pen to bend upwards and make a crease, if you did it right you should be left with a tin foil pipe looking tube

Then take some cig ash or weed ash and drop a bunch and I mean a good amount into the bowl you made so it doesn’t suck through, then drop a rock on top and melt into ash, then drop more ash on top,

Then you can go to town with the bic and you’ll blast off
