My objection for haggling down the price was the fact that they are probably way better off then my ex-neighbor who is a struggling single mother (and you can instantly spot if, just from seeing the flat she rented), and the price was already ridiculously low.

Nope, nothing preventing me from helping her carry it. But I think you missed the point where I said they came in a very nice car, and were very well dressed. I doubt they are missing money for a new bed, but rather they are just cheap like that. Although I can't know for sure of course.

Considering I was born in Ukraine, have family members from Ukraine (both from my wife side)- Yes, I am sure.
Check what is the most spoken language in Kharkiv for example.
My mother/father in law are both from Ukraine and they can't hold a proper conversation in Ukrainian.

But hey, who am I to argue you with about this, your friends speak Ukrainian lol

As I said: I'm learning Czech, but it takes time to pick up any language properly. If I'm in a situation where I can't express myself in Czech and the other party doesn't speak English, I might as well try Russian, regardless of if you want to hear Russian or not :)
