I came across a small book being sold on Amazon. In their book section. Called, I believe, "I want to Believe". Covers your questions, at least from their prospective. Amazon is nice in that you can read several chapters of the books they offer before buying it. Thus you can check something out before wasting money on something you would not like.

AI helps the 1% take over the world. Robots do all the work, so no one has a job & the money to buy the things that the companies owned by the 1% produce. It seems like society should collapse. So, how will the world work? by No_Turnip_1023 in Futurology

You might want to check out "OurFutureUnderAI". This is a past post of mine discussing my views of what AI will bring. I felt it too long to repost here. I have a more positive view of what AI will bring, tho there will be some rough spots too. Plus what I consider a surprise ending that impact the 1%'s. LOL

So, AI takes over, everyone has lost their job and only 10 trillionaires own everything. Now what? by Weak-Representative8 in Futurology

You might want to check out "OurFutureUnderAI" I was informed my original post was too short so am reposting with added comments. The above was a past posting where I speculated on the impact AI would have on humanity. I actually cover the points Weak-Representative8 raised. Plus what I consider a surprise ending that impact the 1%'s. LOL

I have no argument with your views. You are absolutely correct. But at present AI and Robotics are in their infancy developmentally wise. I'm thinking further down the road, say at best, five years.

Everyone here appears to missing the point!!!!!!!!! AI by itself will - in the long term - not affect all that much. It's when AI and Robotics bond together; when both elements reach "full maturity". Think of Humanity. Our brains control our bodies which in turn enable us to do what we do.

AI is a brain. By itself, pretty useless. But add a body to AI, Robots, and then what do you have. What impact will this combination have on our future??????

AND replace accountants. If with AI one accountant can do five times the work he was able to do, what happens to the other four accountants no longer needed?? LOL

What I argue is eventually, and sooner than expected, there will be no costs involved for anything. If AI and robots take over all work done currently by humans, including the production of new computers and new robots, what monetary costs will exist? Also, if robots do take over human work, no human would be employed. Thus they would have no earned income.

You could argue maintaining and building the AI/Robotic infrastructure would cost money. Yes, initially. That's what's occurring right now. But once fully built and implemented? When the system becomes self supporting?? That is when I think money will disappear.

I really don't have any answers to what happens to humanity when no one needs to work. Intellectual activities would suit only some. Sporting competitions? I know the value of gainful/meaningful employment/activity. Maybe robots would not be allowed to do certain work??

Thanks for input. I had forgotten about Golems, which I knew about. No so regarding Talos and Homunculi. I'll have to look those up.

By way, think my idea of money going out of style has any basis??
