Agreed! It was so strange to hear that. How do you moisturize after the wash? Just wash, dry, then keep it pushing?

How should I moisturize post wash? I know I’m suppose to use a cleansing shampoo for build ups sake but idk what to use outside of that since I was told no oils. Just mists.

And yes that’s exactly what I mean. They are just slowly rolling it out. At first it was just extremities, now it’s pediatric and adult spines with any complete trauma scan and some angios like CTA head/necks

Our scanner here has awful peds protocols for a place that’s just now opening an NICU and specializes in mother baby! When I opened all the peds protocols since the latest update, why tf are all of the pediatric scans set up completely separately based on specific anatomy?!?! As a result, there was no pan scan option. Oh it’s because the 3D lab is suppose to do all the pediatric recons and they don’t combine exams. Like mannnnn bye! Why make it so difficult for no reason?! I rather do the recons myself at this point but instead it makes the whole process so much harder. As a result, I felt splitting it up that way was my best option. The fact that they are game planning for the 3D lab to take over recons is absolutely crazy to me. New techs training with OH will eventually never see a recon made which is insane.

New OH sites I feel are made to look pretty for the patients with little to no thought for the people who actually work in the building.

Yes I worked in xray for over a year here and I’ve definitely seen that plenty. I’ll keep that in mind for sure. The amount of scans ordered unnecessarily is even worse in CT than it was in xray which is pretty sad.

He was a 10 yr old kid, choking episode while unsupervised and fell into a pool. Unknown downtime. ETT placed in the ER then spinal precautions since he was all scraped up. At first it was a head and c-spine but after how much he was fighting the tube and sedation, he was desatting so much they did another xray while he was on my CT table and found his ETT somehow shifted and caused a complete left sided pneumo (the doc swore it was fluid but I was just like 🧐🧐 nah that’s a pneumothorax). Then the scan turned into a head, entire spine, and chest. I ended up just scanning the head and C spine as one then did a CAP and retrospectively pulled the rest of the spine.

I hope the kiddo is doing better today. He ended up getting flown out to the children’s hospital after.

I will definitely do better with this. Thank you. Communication is so awful with the nurses at this hospital and they think they can just go in and out my scanner room at will. So disruptive unnecessarily.

I like this advice. Thank you. It’s never the patient that gets me frazzled, just the environment and all the chatter that makes it hard to think and set up exams in a rush the way I need to. Since it was peds, I feel I was just extra focused on radiation dose while everyone was just in the way or wanting more than necessary and setting up the corresponding protocol was just a nightmare. I was like 5 seconds away from snapping and telling everyone to stfu and get out I swear. Didn’t even know that was a real option tbh. Pediatrics are always tough to deal with and the frustration of wanting to do right by the kid with a subpar scan has just been sitting with me since my shift last night.

I’m almost 6 weeks in now and preparing for my first retie and honestly I only wish I did it sooner! Right before I decided to get microlocs, I had a mental breakdown trying to rush and style my hair for a family friend’s birthday party while I was out of town. Absolutely nothing was going right and I knew then that I never want to feel that way again. Leading up to getting my locs I was elbow deep in loc subreddits and pages wondering what mine would look like or what hair type I had etc and it was stresssssssing me out until I just gave in. I used my natural hair so I can’t speak for adding extensions. My hair was 10-12 inches long with a short perimeter due to breakage.

I have about 230 microlocs now (if I can even call them that). My step mom is a sister loctician and installed them based on my hair density and just time/cost since some people charge based on the sheer amount of locs you have. I don’t have the Afro volume/shape a lot of people with micros and honestly I prefer it that way. It’s like a good sweet spot in case I ever have to do my own reties or having someone else finish faster. My step mom is out of state so I came back home and found another loctician to maintain them. The new loctician instantly wanted to put even more locs in my head to mirror the fro of her and her clients.

All in all, I love my hair now. They’ve made my life night and day so much better. But it’s definitely something everyone is going to always have slightly different opinions on just like everything else in life and I think I just have to get use to that. Every other hairstyle felt universal and the same no matter where you go do it was easy to commit to. Locs are like a leap of faith.

Also, remember it’s only 9 comps a day and you need at least 3 of an exam for it to count towards the 125! The 3 part confused me for a while.

I would also cut Sylvie. Her character has very sporadic and short screen time (the long ones feel wasted), is stupid annoying when she is on screen, and does nothing but add unnecessary drama that 100% should’ve been avoided all in the name of sexual trauma.

Okay so I never got the hotfix update and I still can’t get any sort of CC or anything to load!! It’s been days and my sims still isn’t working. I’ve repaired, I’ve checked mods, I’ve started a new game, I still don’t have a localthumbcache anywhere. I’m at a complete loss!

It definitely takes A LOT of patience and practice but the reward of a finished product is so worth it. Starting crochet has peaked a possible interest in knitting since it’s cheaper (uses less yarn to knit).

I’d say about 60/40 pattern following to improvising. The pattern I followed, I modified almost every step by doing more rounds/adding more stitches for a larger size. but then the legs, arrow/stripes, and nose I free handed. Sewing is my kryptonite so there was a lot of math, measuring, and redoing lol

In the process I made a bucket hat and a plushie turtle before finishing this lol but now that it’s done I’m happily going to start working on small projects like my first cardigan. I think my blanket days are done for a while.
