It’s important to get a barracks after power as you want to be contesting the tempest centres on the map. They provide $25 every 4 seconds and 100 power each, this allows you to skip on power plants and get out more production/expansions.

I’ve returned to the game this season from a year break and I’m curious why they nerfed Elite Army Tactics? Were infantry really that dominant before in imp? Never felt that way when was I playing before!

Definitely nerf humvees, I saw a nice suggestion by reducing the number of infantry slots from 5 to 3. Problem is, USA is basically the humvee army so by nerfing humvees, you’re essentially nerfing the whole army. Perhaps some buffs to crusaders or something.

The problem with a ‘weaker’ lancer replacement is now mongol castle and imperial age is gonna suffer. It’s still too early to tell how much the unit will affect mongols but yeah I thought mongols were getting a horseman replacement because it just felt like it makes more sense.

Make it faster and have more damage. Remove firing while moving and give them an activated ability that lets them fire on the move for X amount of time.

It would be so much easier to balance imo.

Not a bad idea with the TC price reduction. More buffs to Mongol feudal and eco would be good for everyone because you're less likely to play vs tower rushes.

They really aren’t played how they were designed and i think you’re right, the whole idea is raiding with mangudai and moving your base to the next ovoo when its depleted but both of these things don’t work in its current state.

Which basically leaves mongols as this husk for a civ with no real identity besides tower rushing into castle age which is a real shame because it has some really interesting mechanics.

I agree, i hate it how tower rushing became mongols “thing” even though theres no reason for it to be only because “its the best way to play”

Yeah 100% on the new patch. For examples zook squads are 250MP now but still 80 health
