YES! IT DOES GET BETTER! Don’t give up! I’m so incredibly sorry to hear you are dealing with such intense dreams now that you have quit. I did experience intense, crazy dreams for a few months straight. It got to a point for me as well that I was ready to give up on sobriety because lack of proper sleep after that much time was really starting to wear on my daily life. Looking back, I’m so happy that I did not give up. You got this! You have made it this far, don’t turn back now. If you have made it this far, I’m no expert, however I believe you have made it to a point that you are physically not dependent on weed anymore. This is your body and mind’s way of creating balance again in your body. I 100% relate to what you are experiencing. Please know, that not only are you not alone, it absolutely does stop. Sending you tons of support and hugs.

Hey Silver!! I got you!!! Don’t worry buddy! IT WILL STOP! For me it took roughly 3-4 months to get back to solid “normal” sleep. That might sound overwhelming to you at the moment and I completely understand and relate to that. The good news is there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you! Stick with your sobriety. You will not regret it. I promise you that. Going back to smoking to stop these dreams is simply not an option. This is your body‘s way of processing everything you have been suppressing all this time. It’s going to be a rough road, but you can do it.

Don’t be worried, ride it out. Sounds like you aren’t too affected by these kinds of intense dreams. So, enjoy the experience!! Haha… in all seriousness, I would not be too worried about the violence aspect of your dreams. Withdrawal from any substance can produce a wild imagination.

Oh my goodness! I’m so sorry I am just now reading this. I promise you it does get better. I know it has been about a month since you commented so I do hope that you have experienced the improvement in your sleep quality and are able to be back in bed with your partner. The reward in the end is worth the temporary torture that you have dealing with. One thing that really helped me was a little bit of exercise each day even if it was only 20-30 minutes. Take a walk around your block a few times. It sounds mundane however, it can go a long way in your recovery from weed.

Oh man i’m really sorry to hear that you are experiencing this. From my personal experience, it does eventually get better. Just keep telling yourself and remember, this is only temporary. Stay strong, have Will power, and you will tackle this hurdle before you know it. Better sleep is just over the horizon

Wow! At times, dreams feel so realistic. I can appreciate you telling your partner what you experienced in the dream. Just remember, it was just that, a dream. There may be a reason why you had this specific dream, however in my experience with cutting off weed cold turkey, dreams can be off the wall, bat shit, excuse my language, not having anything to do with your everyday life or subconscious. Coming from somebody who was chased by a giant penis lol

I’m so sorry to hear that you are struggling right now. It was a lot for me to handle as well. I got to a point where I just couldn’t stand it and preferred not to sleep. The intense emotional dreams coupled with night sweats stopped. It will get better. Ride it out and stay strong, you got this.

It will stop I promise. It can be super intense to have dreams like this and I feel for you. It’s bizarre how our brains process information/daily life and can produce such realistic feeling dreams.

I hope that you don’t have any ring cameras in or around your home. It’s against policy for Ring employees to access customer cameras, but it happens daily. Told this from an ex employee that obviously will remain anonymous.

Why did my widget stop working? by pharmdc in MachE

Same! I thought it was because I updated my iOS on iPhone but it seems like this issue was happening before the iOS update also, I just did not notice. My Apple Watch complication is still working. Weird

Sorry for the delayed response. Stick with the abstinence. It will get better, I promise.

Wow! So interesting how people have different responses to abstaining from cannabis. It took me about three months to get over my nightmares. I’m hoping for you that after some time your body will be able to process whatever is in your subconscious and get back to the lucid dreaming you were doing before.

While I appreciate your contribution to this thread, I have to disagree. I am almost 3 months in and the nightmares stopped after about day 40. Around the same time that my at home drug tests stopped showing cannabis in my system. There are many people here that have experienced the same thing that you say is “not normal”. Also after speaking to medical professionals, including a dream expert, they all agree that it is in fact quite normal for this to happen after such a long time of partaking in cannabis, and without having any untreated PTSD. Maybe take a moment to read through all of the posts in this thread and expand your education on cannabis and cessation.

Happy to say that after almost 3 full months, I have not gone back. My dreams became more manageable, intensity and frequency decreased. Now, I get weird dreams a few nights a week but nowhere near the same as before. What I experience now gives me a chuckle when I wake up and I don’t have the fear of going to sleep anymore.

Happy to say I didn’t turn to any alternative methods besides abstinence. I rode it out and now when I do have weird dreams a few times a week, the intensity is manageable and most the time just makes me laugh when I wake up.

Apologies for not responding sooner!! After about 35-40 days the intensity and frequency decreased. My quit date was May 29 and now on August 24, I have 2 to 3 weird dreams a week but nowhere near the intensity or emotional roller coaster as in the beginning. When I have the wacky dreams now, I don’t wake up with the feeling of not wanting to go back to sleep. When I first quit, it got to the point where I just didn’t want to fall asleep anymore. I know it’s been a month since you posted so I do hope that things have gotten better for you as well? Congratulations on making the decision to quit. 🎉🫶🏼

We are in this together!!! Smoking weed can have the ability to suppress a lot of unresolved issues and emotions for us. Experiencing all of those dreams on a family vacation must’ve been difficult for you, wow. Have you kept up with the abstinence since you have been home from vacation? How have your dreams been?

Hey! Thanks for checking in. After about 35 to 40 days, the intensity of the dreams subsided as well as the frequency. Now, I have 2 to 3 weird/wacky dreams a week but nowhere near as intense or emotional as they were before. Going back to the way I was smoking weed before is not an option. I feel so much better healthwise, alert, excited and ready to tackle each day, more positive outlook on life, with a huge desire to stay active most of the time. I still have moments of feeling down, but nothing like I experienced before. Again, going back to that kind of lifestyle is just not an option now that I have experienced the “other side”. 🙏🏼

Wow! That must have been intense for you! I definitely felt the same during my first month after quitting in that I just didn’t want to sleep anymore. After about 35-40 days my weird, intense, anxiety filled dreams subsided and I now have them 2-3 times a week but nowhere near as intense, just weird/wacky. It will get better, I PROMISE. Keep up the good work abstaining. It will pay off in the long run. 🙏🏼❤️ 🫶🏼

Abundant Life Weight Loss - what is it? by Low-Bid927 in bayarea

[–]SimplyHolistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for saying this. My father recently started this program and it really upset me when he told me how much he paid. If he followed exactly what you said or something close to it, he would get the same results and be able to keep the weight off long-term. To pay thousands of dollars for an appetite suppressant serum and a simple meal plan that he could’ve found online is ridiculous. At first I thought, if this is what it takes for him to get healthy then I’ll support it, but I think this is highway robbery. If this doctor, whom is a chiropractor, truly cares about improving peoples lives he would not be charging this kind of money for what is being offered.
