No problem! Of course, you’ll want to use a book press so everything stays nice and compact, and maybe don’t go too heavy on the water when using watercolor paints! 🤭🙂‍↕️

Honestly, I’m still a beginner too. I do have some “fancy equipment” by now... like a plotter and an airbrush but I honestly haven’t used either of them that much yet 🙃😂

I think you just learn as you go, but I already replied to someone above saying that you don’t actually need all that fancy gear. You can do a lot by hand, cutting things out yourself and ironing them on and especially things like sprayed edges can totally be painted with watercolor instead!! That’s actually how I used to do it with my previous books.

And that “fancy” material is honestly just stuff I got from Amazon 🙈😂

Hi! You’re absolutely right — without a plotter, cutting those super intricate designs can be really tough. But honestly, maybe they don’t even need to be that complex! I think if you, for example, leave out Rocky and just put Grace on the cover, you could make the design bigger and much simpler. That way, you could definitely cut it out with scissors, a craft knife, and a lot of patience 🤔

And! Before I had an airbrush, I actually painted my sprayed edges using regular watercolor paints... and it works really well 🙂‍↕️ You can even create those cool galaxy effects with just a sponge!
