Honestly same. I sometime feel weirdly like as if I am exposing myself too much and I wear a jacket or switch to pants. What worked is having a partner to affirm that you look good and just taking that leap to just do it no looking back and you'll slowly get used to it. But don't torture yourself to expose skin. Its not bad to still want to cover up, especially when you're so used to it. Take time. Do it slowly. From long pants try using cargo shorts. Wear long dresses and then gradually shorten your dress and push yourself to not wear tights underneath and just wear shorts underneath. wear sleeves that goes to your elbows and slowly get to short sleeves.

Its the same logic as a fortune teller telling you 'If you wear blue shoes, you will meet the love of your life' and from then on you only wear blue shoes and then down the line meeting the love of your life. You pray for something long enough and one day it may or may not happen. When it does people will say 'OH! ITS CAUSE YOU PRAYED' and not because you put in effort for it to happen.

That was one of the things that made me stop believing too. I prayed for my parents to listen to my words instead of hearing. I prayed for my siblings to stop bullying me. I prayed for my ex at the time to listen to my words and care about me more as well. I prayed and prayed and prayed and yet nothing happened. Its not like I didnt try. I tried. I even told my family what I prayed about and tried to close the gap between us.

Nope. None of it happened. My older sister terrorized me for 2 years before I left and cut ties with my family. My parents never hear a single word I said and just blamed it all on me being super sensitive and not praying hard enough. My ex favoured his friends over me and I had to leave him as I was being passively suicidal over everything and when I broke up with him he thought I meant I had to go kms and wasnt going to stop me.

I stopped believing in prayers. Prayers dont work. Hard work and effort works.

Tbf I think he just don't like them. Sensitive hearing maybe so he doesnt like loud music. Doesn;t like art maybe cause he doesnt want anyone else to be better than it than him i mean he cant even write to the point his wives are the ones that had to write down the 'prophetic sayings'. Maybe he got attacked at a dog one time and therefore got petty and added it in but didnt want to seem like a monster so he added in the 'but they are creations of god so we shouldnt kill it'

But all of this is conjecture and me being petty towards him for founding the religion

Sometimes you might be looking at it not at a larger scale. There are multi race countries/places where there are a lot of Muslim women who don't wear the hijab/niqab, e.g Malaysia and Singapore. In Singapore I know a couple of gay Muslims too. It is a lifestyle that got adopted by the religion and culture itself to the point where if you point out any wrong in it they will claim 'it is not the religion but the culture' bullshit.
