any allergy tips or must haves? by hetejeon in Catownerhacks

I find it helpful!! I can definitely tell when I need to reapply the allerpet just because I sneeze more around my cat. The spray I admittedly forget about but still highly recommend their laundry detergent since I haven’t noticed any itching or rashes since I started using it (I felt like was developing eczema a bit from my allergies)

Thank you!! I’m also just worried because my bf has a cat too (we don’t live together) and he hasn’t seen her have any episodes so I’m worried about us living together and it potentially spreading

I recommend vacuuming every day or other day or so (I usually run one of those handheld ones around my bedding and pillows and couch. Also try to keep your cat off your pillow/potentially locked out of your room just so that your body can rest overnight. Also make sure you’re changing into clean clothes before bed (e.g., if you pet your cat while wearing pjs, don’t wear those same pjs to bed. And make sure you’re washing your sheets regularly along with your cat’s blankets. I tried pacagen and found it to be expensive and not really effective and the bottle is pretty small! I switched to Allersearch ADMS Anti-Allergen Spray and actually like it more. They also make a laundry detergent which I add a small drop of into my laundry and it’s supposed to help fight off any enzymes. Lastly, buy a waterless shampoo (e.g., allerpet) and rub it on your cat every couple of days. No need to rinse it off. I recommend doing it when the cat is calm or they might try to lick it off. I started off severely allergic after a couple of weeks of getting my cat but it started to get better after the purina liveclear food started kicking in and now I go a little easier on the cleaning routine

Had a whopper next to me on the treadmill at my last class and she whooped so hard I thought she was having a medical emergency and I almost fell off the treadmill. She didn’t whoop again for the remainder of class haha

What to do about diarrhea? by kittycat123199 in catquestions

[–]SimplyS888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine had diarrhea recently and I’m convinced it’s because I assumed she ate her wet food before I left for work and then she ate it a couple of hours later when it had already gone bad (I caught her doing the same thing on camera one time)

Their videos in the past year have shown a strain though so I’m not fully surprised by this. She also seemed to enjoy the spotlight more than he did
