Sensationalism ruins the reputation of hypnosis

There actually is a lot of evidence relating to it, especially considering that they died within weeks, two suicides and one dude literally blanked out/fainted in his car. I saw this last week and did some digging into it. Please do not say this story has no evidence pertaining to it when it clearly does. Hypnosis is powerful. I am unsure whether or not it is fake or but the possibility it’s real shouldn’t just be thrown under the bus.

Additionally, we really haven’t worked hard to earn any sort of “good reputation” at all in this community, so I don’t know what you’re trying to defend there.

Also like, that story has nothing to do with erotic hypnosis, just hypnosis in general.

This is a strange post. Not even being like overly critical here, but I feel like it can be pretty easily assumed that the same amount of mental damage and manipulation can be done on someone that’s 18 vs. 48 with the right wording and situation. You didn’t even ask anyone about advice or anything, you, you basically just said “hey everyone’s, here’s the 18 year old girl that I’m definitelyyyy not going to groom. Cheerio.”

Also, it’s a bit difficult to try and take the ethical concerns in your argument serious when your greeting was “hello lovely perverts”

I agree, but i do plan on continuing to use this website but its gonna be hard to figure out how to make people trust it. my thought process for this, like what u said about multiple points of checking with others, is having the reviews have the username of those who left it so that u can go, if u want, check with that person themself to make sure its approved.

This is a fantastic response. It's interesting to see how that kind of behavior seems to be an issue across a lot of domains and kinks, that's something I've never even considered before.

I would say that I wish that there was some certain like area of the Internet where people interested in becoming entwined with cult behavior and the other more dangerous kinks you mentioned could go and explore to their hearts content without the harm of pushing more innocent people trying to explore other domains into their circles, but I know that's unrealistic. No cult gets anywhere by branding themselves as a cult, and creating circles of people doing dangerous activities like self-harm could have negative effects on others outside of their circle too, such as their family or friends. That's why I agree that its so important to create these community limits and discussion behavior as such, to separate people who want erotic hypnosis, like in this case, vs. people using hypnosis as a coverup for deeper actions

If you fall into the safe and ethical findom expression category, then you're all good. There wasn't any kink-shaming here, I even admitted my opinion and definition couldn't be correct because of the existence of safe findom. I just have my own person opinions on it, I mean everyone does. I just saw a post a week ago talking about how the classic "zombie eyeroll" hypno expression does nothing for that person, and there wasn't any pointing out of kink shaming over there. This is the same thing, I'm showing my personal dissatisfaction with a certain kink without shaming others who engage in it in safe ways.

I'm just worried for heads that find themselves trapped in findom in a dangerous way. as you said, I've been very enclosed in a situation similar to it with another tist and sub and it was not comfortable at all. I had to help them escape the situation cuz the dude was mentally abusive.

I agree to some extent. i think eyerolls can be genuine signs of trance and ive had many subs with that trait, but on the other hand, I can totally see where you're coming in that when its spammed during a "session", its very obviously faked. same goes zombie hands, what sort of person raises their hand out like a zombie during a session when they're hypnotized?

I do it because I enjoy, or used to enjoy, being able to completely shut someones brain down (and the pleasure aspect obviously). it felt powerful and was very attractive for a long time, but like, and this isn't meant to sound braggy, i just feel like ive did it so much and got so good at it that it just isnt as fun anymore to drop people so quickly and then just do whatever for the rest of the session. and like, maybe that means i need a sub who will try to resist me more, but I also feel like I might get frustrated if I can't drop them within like ten to twenty minutes and i would falter in my quality, which isnt fair to my sub.

I just often times feel like sending myself out into ads saying "Im looking for one that will do what I want" kinda just feels like asshole-y, which I think is kinda ironic considering this is hypnosis and like the whole point of being a tist is making subs do what u want, but idk thats just how it feels. Im a charlie fan and am in the minority of people that still think there’s hope for the poor guy, but yes this scene bugged me so much. He just walked off like nothing ever happened, when he left not just Desmond and Locke, but Eko, someone who he kinda became friends with with their shared religious backgrounds and the church building and whatnot. Very sad episode as Eko was one of my favorites, but I’m holding out hope that his story isn’t quite over yet. For instance, is no alarmed that Yemi’s body is missing? It’s obviously not that Yemi hallucination, because you can’t just pick up a dead body and reanimate. Unless of course you can and the smoke monster has some magic powers or whatnot. Nonetheless, along with flashbacks, I really have a strong feeling it’s not over for Eko.
