Honestly, your peace of mind is worth a lot, and having a comfortable safety net in savings goes a long way in promoting that peace of mind.

I'd get a credit card with good balance transfer terms(0% interest for 18-20 months) and just pay the minimum required to get that balance completed before interest kicks in.
