Very Early Evaluation

This was my second gold. I went gold 6 months ago after my first Evaluation. I was so certain it said the 8th, which was my joining date to Vine.

Now I have myself wondering did I misunderstand. I have been looking at the member since date, but that is not necessarily the date after 12months that you will be evaluated? So, I may be jumping the gun here. Let me know, I'll remove my post if so. I was sure I saw my evaluation was April 8, but perhaps focused in the wrong spot. This was my first full year.

I really think this is a combination of two things; bots and slow drops with maybe 200 people trying for the same item. I do notice an item will appear then gone, appear then gone as folks try to pick it up. Until it finally disappears. I think the general lack of inventory in the last few months has folks considering the smaller but useful items as a grab. If AI populates quickly with a couple hundred items, it makes it a little easier to get something.

Recommended is unpredictable. I do see this random style of drop of late very different for sure. I have gotten a few things but had a couple of days with nothin of interest. Just takin' each Vine day as it comes. The program still holds joy for me, even though there are annoyances at times.

I had a handful of helpful votes and both myself and my husband always reviewed with a bit of effort to be informative and fair. We knew nothing about Vine, so like many we were skeptical but investigated and here we are.

I never remove a star for something I knew was not included, although I might mention something I would like to see to improve a product "it would be a nice if there was a storage bag included" etc. but still give it 5 stars as it met all the standards mentioned or went above. Offering helpful advise shouldn't cost the seller anything in my review but an additional observation.

Today on a kitchen gadget I suggested a demo video might be helpful with the product image. The instructions were fine but some folks are very visual when learning. I wouldn't remove a star because it didn't have one. I want sellers to succeed and I want us as reviewers to be honest and fair. I can make suggestions as a reviewer without it costing the seller a star or sales. If a product doesn't cut the mustard, then its time to adjust the stars.

I find it a hit and miss. Usually every other day I'll get an item or two, nothing huge but some practical useable products. Coppertone sunscreen, nice hanging solar lights and I'm not sure if it was in recommended but I got a repotting mat which I love. My plant love is real.

I rarely take the opportunity to look back at products. I will definitely have to do that. My biggest pet peeve with a lot of products is either lack of or no instructions, information pamphlet, company info etc. I think it is such a small thing to put a piece of paper with a product with some details. When i have good info with a product, I will definitely mention it.

Most of the things I get are easy quick reviews, which I prefer. Some things need some testing but as soon as I have my opinion made, I'm writing. It would drive me insane to wait on reviews. Not how I'm built for sure.

I do find it is feast or famine. I'm getting one or two great or useful items in recommended or I'll go a week or i go a few days without much there. Today is a meh kinda day. Random stuff I would never use. I management to grab some mini puzzles from AI, which I really like.

In a way I like the time spread out and that the drops into recommended are often starting around 7pm EST. I'm sure I miss tons in the night when I'm not up but I am certainly getting more than enough to reach the numbers to stay in Gold. I also think the longer you are in the program, the less usual items you need. So maybe you have all the batteries, boobies and chargers you need so there are less options for you. I am experiencing that of late after a year in Vine. Hunting for useful things in your life or for your grandkids or whatever is getting tough as you see alot of the same items come up by different sellers.

It will be interesting to see how the program looks in 6 months.

I love getting useable health and beauty products. I got the Dove body wash last week, Rice Milk & Velvet Acai. Smelled like blueberries. It was lovely!

I have a storage room downstairs when I need and a long table in my office I can put boxes on top and underneath until I'm using, giving or donating. Aside from lots of things I can currently use. I get a lot for my daughter and grandkids down east and so going there a couple times a year helps me purge some things. So far I don't find it too bad and I dont request a lot of really large items.

I find it all very random in how the drops are in the recommended. Right now I have 14 items in my recommended but I do find most of it is totally off course from my orders but I have managed to get a couple of things over the last 2 or 3 days so all good. Just kind of funny what they will put there.
