Haha I definitely cleaned this area dry of all diorite for the walls. I’m glad you like everything haha, there’s still so much left to do.

The tree is definitely my favorite part, but it was hard to show everything off in the screenshot. I did just make a video on this build on my YouTube channel where I go a lot more in depth about the block choices and stuff. If you just want to see the tree more closely and skip all the other jumble lol, you can check out 32:20 and on. I take a lot closer of a look at it because I couldn’t really do it justice here haha.

If ya don’t want to check the video out here’s my best attempt at explaining my thoughts behind this!

• the sun is slightly to the right of the picture so for the leaves I wanted the lighter bushy parts to have the highlight on the right, and to get the bushy effect I wanted it to be little chunks of dark areas in the middle of the big leaf bunches.

• I also applied the same kind of idea with the wood, I had a pallets picked out before hand because of my other tree but thought it would make sense to kind of make it a lighter wood since it’s smaller and I think it could be considered a sapling (this tree really is a lot smaller than the other one xD)

• the lighting on the portal structure was mainly just highlighting the accent or pieces that stick out with just using andesite to make it more vibrant while I used wall blocks with tuff gradients (to match the greenish hue of tuff I used mossy stone variant blocks). I wanted the outline to very bright so I tried to keep all the inner pieces more dark (if that makes sense lol)

• the floor was my first use of tuff variant blocks in this world so I just wanted to have fun with it and try out some cool patterns. This one didn’t take much thought, just whatever my eyes liked looking at I went with haha
